I love this hip pack! The material is for many outdoor adventures! I’ve used it in pouring rain and my belongings never got wet. Now I’m using this hip pack as my daily purse. I don’t think I’ll go back to handbags since it’s very convenient with an active mom life. Or just someone who is always on the go,

This pack is very durable and well-made, comfortable and easy to use, a solid value for that reason. After carrying this in the forest under light-medium rain it wetted out after about 3-4 hours. Not bad, but the DWR (or watever allowed the water to bead off) disappeared quickly and it now readily absorbs water into the face fabric, gaining weight. The Bergshell fabric is advertised as waterproof, it's not (nothing is of course, but I still expected for better) The color is nothing like the marketing images; it's much brighter red in person. There is little organization inside, basically treat it like a dump pocket. Access is very easy, and it manages to store a lot of gear for its size. The white interior an refelctive logo are nice features, though the interior material stains pretty easily. The pack has a very nice shape that conforms well to the body, and I love the placement of the buckle which makes adjusting and removing the pack very fast. However, the material is thick and heavy, and there is no ventilation, causing it to get very sweaty in hot and humid weather - and because the face material absorbs water, it got soaked pretty quickly when I was using it for travel. This is definitely (and perhaps unsurprsingly) best used in a winter environment, over a jacket. Still, I found it comfortable to use overall even in spite of those issues.

I had a smaller bag and struggled to fit all of my essentials. With this bag I am able to travel and take my active daughter everywhere having all the essential items available.

Really comfortable for everyday use. Good quality. Spacious enough to hold a phone, keys, wallet , chapstick and a folding shopping bag. Still there are more space.
