I wanted a step stool that would be sturdy and wouldn't wobble the way they tend to do. This stepstool is fantastic! I think it's so stable because the back legs are one solid piece. It also has that great grip able hand rail at the top to help me steady myself as I climb. It opens smoothly and closes easily. It has a maximum weight of 330lbs, but do you know what that means? It's made to last! There are nice treads on the steps too! I would recommend this to ANYONE needing a stepstool. Even if you don't need a larger one. I could see this as being especially nice for the elderly. It weighs 11 pounds but you don't have to worry about it tipping over while they are on it. Most people can handle picking up 11 pounds. I've been healing from a particularly bad back injury and I can manage it. My 7 year old grandson can carry it too. The Delxo 3 step ladder is perfect for me with sturdy, wide treads, padded handle at the top and it's easy to operate. I'm (let's just say) "big boned" and nearly 300lbs. In my thinner days standing on a chair was fine but I'm a bit older and heavier than then so I need a better solution and this is it.Here is what I like:+ This is sturdy and stable for this nearly 300lb lady!+ 3 steps give me all the range I need in the house (changing light bulbs and cleaning up high)+ The treads are wide and deep with a non-slip top for sure footing+ I can use it as an impromptu seat - the padded handle works as a back rest: Nice Design!+ Opening and closing are easy, sure locking and smooth+ It stores compactly when closed+ Non-scuff feet to protect floorsWhat I don't so much:- It's a little heavy, but could it be as sturdy if lighter? Not really a valid complaint.In conclusion my only down-side (a little heavy) probably isn't reasonable as it has a lot to do with the step-stool's sturdiness. And there is so much I like about the Delxo step stool. Whether I'm taking a seat on the wide/deep treads or climbing up to change a light bulb or clean the top of my windows this step-stool feels sure and secure. It's easy to open and use and even being heavy I feel secure standing on it. If that doesn't earn 5 stars, I don't know what does. Excellent step stool for my use..

I actually bought this for face painting so that I wouldn't have to bring a bar chair and a set of step stools...for that purpose it's worked well. The children can easily get up the stairs themselves and take a seat. The seat width is large enough for most adults and because of the weight recommendations, I feel good about parents holding small children in their laps without a problem. It's nice that the handle curves out. It leaves more room on the seat and also I'm able to rest it on my shoulder (like a purse) when folded and it clears my hip. Just make sure kids don't recline onto the back, they could slip through and fall out the back. The grip rubber on the steps is high quality, grooved and I don't think it will lift.I had to take a star off for a couple of reasons. It's a bit heavy. I almost wish it had been made out of aluminum. I suppose it wouldn't hold as much weight as it does if it was, but if I have to walk very far, it starts to hurt my shoulder and a bit unwieldy to put in the back of the car. That isn't a problem for household use but it might be a bit heavy for an older person to lift around and store.Second, there is a small gravity latch under the seat that seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and is actually IS made of aluminum and it's bent now. I have to lay the ladder down about 45 degrees to be able to fold it and it might cause a pinching hazard if you're not careful. Just keep your left hand on the curved handle and not the back legs.PROS: Sturdy, safe, wide steps, doubles as a chair because of rounded handleCONS: Weight, gravity latch

We needed a step stool for our small pantry - A little step stool was not high enough for us to reach the top shelves and a step ladder was too big to fit in the small room. This Delxo 3 Step Ladder was just right! It fits in the small room and we can reach the top shelves. The ladder is well made, folds and opens easily, has non-slip black pads on the steps and feet and doesn't rock when standing on it. The curved top handle is great for steadying oneself and also works great as a handle when the ladder is folded and being moved. We store it in the pantry against the wall and it is right there when we need it. Of course it also works great in other parts of the house to reach overhead lightbulbs that need changing and nails to hang pictures, etc. Some reviews said the pads were coming off and the steps bent under weight. We didn't find this to be true with the ladder we received. There is a weight restriction, of course, and you would have to be mindful of not only your weight but add on the weight of the item you are carrying while on the ladder. We find it great, sturdy, well made and really handy!

3 stars is just my way of saying it’s a good stool. I have sturdier ones but this is a good addition. The safety latch seems reliable. It can be a bit stubborn to open, but I think it’ll do just fine.

This 3 step ladder is Fantastic! Sturdy, easy to use and very safe!! I was thrilled and so was my husband with the high quality that is obvious with every use. And what a GREAT PRICE for this ladder. We had a previous one that we paid almost the same amount of money and it was half the size and not very stable. This has large steps and a top platform that is functional to even put down a can of paint. My husband was thrilled that he wont have to struggle its his ladder anymore inside or outside for many jobs because this will help do the Job!!! We Love IT!!!!
