AquaClearImpeller Assembly for 30 Power Filter

The good...I have 3 aquaclear 70s on the back of my fancy gold fish tank and I bought them 7 years ago and they have been great reliable units besides the occasional impeller getting stuck and needing a little spin to get going after a power outage or unplugged for cleaning this is the first motor failure ive experienced. After one of my pumps being extremely noisy for a few weeks and then refusing to run continuously for more than a few seconds and stopping after 30-40 attempts to spin it to start failing I ordered this impeller and it Arrived with a broken impeller blade I thought ok no problem I will use the one from the broken pump so I take the pump off of the filter and then find out that the motor shaft has over the past 7 years managed to saw itself in half somehow at this point I now need to order a replacement shaft and get a replacement impeller assembly sent to replace the 3 party vendor one that arrived broken so ....... instead of that headache im just going to buy a entire new aquaclear 70 and return the part

Ok I’ve posted pictures of this impeller for my Aquaclear 70 yes it’s the correct one but look at pics, damage like this causes more vibrationSo now I’m going to have to return and try again I guessPost is just so buyers can see it’s the correct part for replacement

Impeller was rolling around loose in the packaging when I got it. My previous order was lost in the mail so second time is the charm. I usually have to replace mine every 6 to 12 months because my fish likes to spit sand and things all around the filter and grind up the impeller to bits. I have a sponge on the intake but impellers are no match for sand.

Aquaclear filters are by far my favorites. I was slightly panicked when the impeller broke because I didn't want to buy a whole new filter. I came across this, and it fixed my filter in minutes. Sometimes a new filter will grind until it gets broken in/film built up on the impeller, but there was no noise with just a new impeller. Also, if your once quiet filter is suddenly making a grinding noise you need one of these. I now keep one handy so I can immediately replace it when one wears out.

We have a 40 Gal Breeder tank and AquaClear 70 filter. We use the tank for breeding Neocardina shrimp. The water flow of the AquaClear 70 filter was too strong for our needs. We installed a AquaClear 50 impeller and the reduced water flow is exactly what we want. The 50 and 70 impellers are the same. The difference is the 50 size impeller has 4 blades and the 70 size impeller has 6 blades.

I received my replacement Impeller Assembly today and was very disappointed. I knew I was buying an item advertised as "used, good condition", but I didn't expect to receive a broken product. I needed the product badly as my other one along with my motor were making a horrible noise, so I don't have time to wait for a new one to arrive. I had to use it as I received it. Seems quality control is slacking at the Amazon warehouse...

This worked great! I've had my filter for at least 2 years but it was getting so noisy. I thought about replacing the filter, but the reviews on this were good. Glad I bought this for around $10 instead of replacing. It popped right in and is virtually silent. Now our living room sounds peaceful again. :)

This impeller worked right out of the box. I had to use one from my new unit to go into my older unit that stopped working. Of course the fish much apricated having the pump system working again. So when I received it yesterday I tried it out this morning. It worked. Now I will have a whole new unit as my back up if I need it. This impeller saved me money from having to buy a whole new system.

Plastic propeller part was broken when it arrived, I'm using the motor with a difference propeller on the end as I had no choice, my tank pump needed fixing.

Bought to upgrade a HOB filter, works as advertised

Had it for a couple of weeks and it made a big difference in water flow with our fluval edge 4ltr tank. Unfortunately it stopped working, luckly we saved the impeller that comes with the tank. Always keep spare parts. Was a good job we did :(
