Brower MPO6E 6-Gallon Heated Poly Waterer, Red

Just arrived today. Early delivery, so we are happy about that, however the PVC Pipe that holds the heater cord was broke off at the base when we opened box. We are not going to return because we need to install before our Colorado weather turns cold and I’m afraid we would not receive a replacement in time plus it’s a fairly easy fix for us. Gave 3 stars only because it was early and instructions are very simple for install. I will update once we fix it and install it. I’m still hopeful it will actually work like advertised.

First, the USPS delivered to the wrong house. When I opened the box, I found that the stand pipe for electric cord was broken off at the threads. I was able to make a new stand pipe. I installed waterer per instructions, turned water on. It took at least 10 minutes for waterer to fill!! Not acceptable!! When it did fill up, there were leaks, from the tank itself, NOT from water supply connections but from BOTH stand pipes. I spent the better part of the day fixing broken parts and installing waterer. In my opinion this is a poorly designed product and poor workmanship. I unhooked waterer and am sending back for a refund. I was a warehouse distributer from 1970 until 1985 for Hawkeye Steel Products ( the manufacturer) and back then they were putting out quality products. Apparently their quality and workmanship has declined. NO, I will NOT recommend purchasing this product.

Love the fact I don't have to drag a 100ft hose,BUT the heater never worked !

The only thing that I understand how to make work is the outside tank. There are hundreds of pieces to assemble and the instruction are about as understandable as Greek Literature. I am having to hire a plumber to try and figure out where the pieces go together before even installing the tank. No, I do not appreciate the purchase and no I would not recommend it to any of my friends. I have an advanced degree but not in tank engineering so if any one ask do I like the tank, yes, would I ever buy another one in this condition, NEVER!!!!!

Works well and is standing up great, and it doesn't use a lot of power.

The tank was fine but it had a 1/4" fill hose. Took for ever to fill tank. Cows had to take a number and wait in line to get a drink. Place a bigger line to fill up quicker it would be fine.

The waterer itself is very tough and has never froze it was the supply that kept freezing due to the size of the supply or the metal cover letting ice to build up and freeze too. Also poor float design, I made my own riser for a different float. Using all 3/4” supply right to float.

All the holes in the bottom leaked, and still do. I have tried every thing to plug them. i have taken it apart several times now to re-fix the leaks. Now its winter and the heater doesn't work or at least work good enough to keep it from freezing. It has been one hassle after another with this product. I would never in a million years buy this product!

This product was so poorly put together that all the fittings leaked and no way of fixing as Connections were stripped. Had to return. Would not recommend buying this!
