Adore this press
We Love this item. We don’t cut our rolls while they are in the block. We remove the roll then cut it with a crazy sharp knife with a damp blade. Also, wrap the top and bottom plates with plastic wrap and soak the square frame in water. If you do that, removal and cleanup is easier!! Additionally, after we line the base and side walls with rice we put a partial sheet of soy paper pressed against the rice lining with about an inch protruding prior to filling with your favorite items. Once you’ve added your roll filling, cover them with the remaining inch of soy paper, top with rice and press!! Epic, yummy goodness!! Awesome press!!

Beautifully Crafted
This rice press really looks so traditionally Japanese in its crafting that you cannot fail to produce exquisitely executed sushi dishes.A absolute bargain.

My wife loved it but I think the quality could be much better. It's easy to use but the metal parts are exposed and discolor. Furthermore, the wood is rough and when soaking it in water the quality only gets worse.

Another level of Onigirii
This make a perfect size “rice sandwich”The rice will stick to the walls a bit with repeated use.I’m wondering if the bare wood should be oiled with mineral oil or cutting board oilFor now I just line the box with plastic wrap then fold over after the rice and fillings go in,press then remove the plastic and then wrap with NoriDoing it this way I don’t even have wash after use

Nice mold, but a little too small
I like the build quality, but the mold is either too big or too small for what I want to use it for. It's too big for regular sushi, if that's what you were going to use it for. I'd buy a smaller one for sure.

Such a fun, fast way to do your sushi
Such a fun, fast way to do your sushi. Per others, we wrapped the top & bottom in plastic wrap and then got creative. Put a selection of veggies, meats & sauces out on the counter and everyone had a great time making their own. We like seaweed, so created the pressed roll and then turned over (un-cut) on to the seaweed and wrapped up. It was so easy. Everyone is already talking about what they want to do next time around. Will certainly get used and save money as sushi is an expensive outing!

Always wanted to make box sushi. This press works wonderfully. I leave it soak in water before using it and it has given me good results; rice does not stick to the box and once done it is very easy to get sushi out.Box is of very good quality and hopefully it will last for a very long time

Really small press mold
The mold was smaller than what I thought I'd get. Not only was it smaller but it was also made in China. No thanks.
