Don't scrimp on simple hardware.
Bought the Logosol after reading reviews. And made note of lack of clarity in instructions, one review on bolts holding slider wheels falling off. Yep, my fell off as well so I tightenedthe cheap bolt with a 10mm and Allen wrench to fit special washer nut Logosol had manufactured, which stripped out the hex hole because too soft of metal couldn't take snugging to tight.Had to hacksaw behind the wheel and cut the bolt. Don't bother with their cheap bolts.Just get two grade 5 bolts, hex head 1/4" x 1 1/2", flat washer to fit recess in wheel, lock washers, and use lock tite on the bolts. Or at least put acorn nuts on their bolts. They know about this and should have sprung for the acorn nuts for an extra 20 cents. Also, check, and double check measurement on a flat surface while sitting it on the wheel/feet.Mine was 2 3/8 inches by the frame, then 2 1/4 inches end of bar tip. It's hard to access the lift nut in the frame with 10mm wrench while holding bolt head with another.Better design would be to spot weld a nut on the frame at that point and make adjustments super easy.First cut is crucial getting a good face to square off of.Second cut must be exactlly 90 degrees when finished for an accurate thrid cut or you willfight tilt and drift up or down using shims to keep the template borad and brackets squared. Finally, that sucker gets so hot even wearing leather gloves, a brief pause every 30 secondswas required at least for Stihl MS 390 with 28 inch bar.I cut 1 1/2" cedar boards4 feet long, stopping 5 times from heat.Trial and error for me like most users.Perhaps Logosol will consider adopting user reviews and suggestions to maketheir product better. It won't take much effort or cost.

Works great
Did a fine job cutting these black walnut boards out of a couple freshly cut trees.

Needs lock time included to keep parts from vibrating loose and falling into the mounds of saw dust. It will cut lumber out of trees but don't be in a rush and don't expect perfect lumber. I hoped to build a bard but won't happen with this mill. Oh and a ripping chain for your saw is a must!

Good product, just bought a full size sawmill instead. Returned.
Rcvd as ordered. But bought a full size sawmill instead. So I returned this one.

Plastic feet melt
Probably ok for small pine or other soft wood. I was milling large oak logs with a Stihl 661. First the angle brackets used to build the guide are flimsy so you will need to make your own 45 degree blocks to ensure the railing doesn't flex. But the main problem I had was the exhaust or heat resulted in one of the plastic roller wheels melting down. These should definitely be metal. Still looking for replacements.

fun to use, but not practical for large quantities
It took me a fair amount of time to put the logosol together and figure out how to use it efficiently. I dont think Ive really mastered it yet. I have a hard time getting boards square. The cutting guide above the saw could be longer. Also, getting the chainsaw to cooperate took a fair amount of canoodling. In the end, I was able to cut some slabs, although my 45cc saw was at the very edge of its ability in the process. I rented a larger 64cc saw that cut much more easily but not really any more accurately. Im sure with time I can get the hang of this, but the reality is Im not a serious enough woodworker to spend serious time and effort to make this work to the utmost of its ability. In short this is fun to play around with, but it takes a fair amount of time and effort to get up and running. If youre serious about milling large quantities of lumber, youd be better off trucking logs to a local mill or paying someone to do it for you.

Didn’t receive a manual with this item.
No manual whatsoever. Disappointed. The manual online doesn’t give enough info how to put it together and how to use it. On the picture of the package it shows that’s manual and brochure are included in the kit. I got only brochure. Where is the manual?! Don’t send me online.
