I bought this stuff, after seeing a recommendation for it on Amazon. I read the reviews first; and saw they were all very good. Prior to using the fluid, I found that the glass bottles - wine bottles in particular, kept breaking really easily.so, I bought the fluid, which I put to use today. One little drop on the glass cutting wheel was all it took. The bottle rolled as smoothly as anything; and when it came to breaking it in two, it was clean as a whistle. Before then, the glass would slip; and fall all over the cutting wheel, which resulted in constant fractures in the bottle; and several attempts at cutting another bottle. Bearing in mind, the fluid makes it easier to cut the glass; but the thickness of the glass itself, is what really decides on how easy it cuts. The fluid only cost me £9.99; and has made an enormous amount of difference. In fact, it's made my glass cutting project really easy. It's a good size bottle; and so little is needed at any one time. In my opinion, it's excellent value for money.

Does the job well

The HemBorta Glass Cutting Oil does exactly what it says on the tin—or rather, the 120ml bottle. It provides a smooth, consistent flow for the cutter, which is essential if you want your glass to actually break where you scored it rather than shatter into a million pieces of regret. The viscosity is spot on; it’s thin enough to reach the cutting wheel but thick enough to stay put without making your workbench look like a chips shop floor.

Recommend

If you are not using this when cutting glass you run the risk of early wear and tear on your glass cutter and rough glass cuts. If using an ordinary cutter, brush this along your cut line and it will smooth the way. This can also be used to fill cutters which have an oil reservoir built in to them. I definitely recommend this sort of cutter for stained glass work etc. The bottle has a handy built in nozzle for filling these cutters. Anyway good cutting oil at a great price! This quantity will last you ages!

Ich benutze das Öl mittlerweile knapp ein Jahr für die Arbeit mit Glaskunst und es funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich glaube ich hab bisher vielleicht maximal 30ml verbraucht.

Bonne huile de coupe pour recharger les coupe-verre. Je l’utilise pour mes créations de vitrail et elle fait bien son travail. Elle permet une coupe plus fluide et aide à obtenir des découpes plus nettes sur le verre. Le format est pratique et le produit est simple à utiliser. Rien à redire, c’est une huile efficace pour un usage en vitrail ou en découpe de verre.
