These saddle-Ts are great
Let me tell you, thes saddle-Ts are wonderful. Why husband and zip bought some acreage that had a metal building with a bathroom. There was 200ft between the building and the septic tank, with no clean outs. I bought 2 of these saddle-Ts. I attached one to the septic pipe close to the building and the other 100ft, halfway to the tank. Once the pipe was exposed it was so easy to install the 2 clean outs. I glued the saddle-Ts to the pipe waited a few minutes then instead the clamp bolts to the pipe and tightened the bolts down. Then I cut the hole in the pipe with the circular cutter connected to my drill, inside the top hole on the saddle-T. I was Then able to attach the cleanout pipe and cap. I am a 67year old woman. Easy pezzy quick and easy. I am not going to pay thousands of dollars to someone, when I can do it myself!

Not sleepless with Saddle.
The fitting arrived very quickly which was nice. It was a little too large for my liking (for the 4" PVC I was connecting to). So I put the saddle tee into a bar clamp and squeezed it together about a quarter inch. I then slowly poured about 2 gallons of boiling water over it. I then let it cool for about 5 minutes. Amazingly it fit perfectly. I'm sure you could use the boiling water to open up the sadle as well. Other than that everything worked out well and I was able to connect to an underground downspout drain. Yay!!!

Worked great for adding an rv tee
My ground is rock hard in my area, so i was not looking forward to dig around a pipe and cut it. This made it so much easier. Bought a 4" milwaukee hole saw with arbor for $30 and used medium duty pcv welding cement to secure it in place. Considerable easier than using a T and couplers

Fits 4" sewer or Sched 40
This was a lifesaver for adding an RV drain to our existing septic system. Instead of needing to dig up a bunch of pipe to install a regular Tee, I only had to dig to the place I intended to tap into it.After deciding where I wanted it, I marked the hole I would need to cut with a marker, then cut it out with a router. The Tee is made from flexible plastic, so that it can tap into either 4" sewer pipe or 4" schedule 40 DWV, flexing to fit either diameter tightly as you tighten the nuts. The flange will fit over 4" schedule 40 DWV, but it also fit perfectly over the outside of a 4" sewer elbow fitting, as shown in the picture.I highly recommend this. No idea why they don't stock these at hardware stores.

Really Glad They Make These Saddle Fittings
I purchased this saddle tee to tap into an inside perimeter foundation drain when I was building a radon mitigation system. I had to cut a hole in our basement concrete floor and dig down a little over three feet to reach a short piece of 4" drainage PVC used in a step-down in that drain line, and the idea of trying to cut and insert a glue-in tee just wasn't very appealing. Spending more time hanging upside down in that hole wasn't my first choice for fun things to do, plus there was really no way to move either end of that PVC pipe after cutting through it, so using a glue-in tee would have resulted in having the pipe only half engaged in the two ends of the tee after centering it. This device was the ideal answer. I cut a hole in the top of the PVC, placed sealant around the holr, and then put this saddle fitting in place. It's really made for schedule 40 PVC, but it worked just fine the this drain line.I guess I still had to hang upside down in the hole, but it worked out great. And, best of all, our basement radon level dropped to outdoor ambient levels after firing up the fan in the attic.

Saved me a lot of work
I needed to "tap into" an existing yard drain line to add another drain pipe. This device made the job easy, particularly since I didn't have to dig up 6 feet of buried pipe in order to cut it, lift it out and insert a tee. With the saddle tee, I dug up just a foot of pipe, drilled a hole in the side with a hole saw, and attached the saddle tee over the hole. Then I was able to slip in my added drain pipe and bury the whole mess.Elsewhere, I have done the same job using rubber tees that can be squashed and compressed to fit over the pipe, but this saddle tee is much easier to use and it fits better. Instructions recommend to glue the saddle in place, but I didn't do that for this buried drain pipe, where all the connections are just non-glued slip fit anyway. Because I didn't glue the saddle tee, I was able to rotate it slightly to get it in line with the new incoming pipe, and then I tightened the U-Bolts a bit more to lock it in place.
