Krytox GPL 205 Grease PFPE PTFE 0.5 oz Syringe

Krytox is straight up the best line of lubricants you can buy. The lower viscosity oil products (100 - 105) work well in many applications. I've used 105 to lubricate keys on membrane keyboards, 100 to lubricate mechanical keyboard switches, 100 to lubricate the bearings on a Logitech M570 trackball mouse... the list goes on. The grease products work well for larger applications like cabinet hinges. I tracked down some hard-to-find 100 because I was obsessed with having THE lowest viscosity Krytox possible, but it worked just as well as 105 in my applications. So unless you have a specialized industrial application, Krytox 105 will likely work just fine for novice use - which is good news because it's much cheaper than 100.

This is the ONLY approved stuff for a VW EOS roof. If you use normal silicon based lubricants on the roof seals on the retractable hardtop on any model year of the VW EOS convertible drop top they will damage the rubber seals by making dirt and dust particles stick to the seals. This stuff is very expensive to purchase and should be applies every summer to keep the roof working smoothly. This is the same PTFE lubricant VW buys to resell as a VW branded part in a bottle that is 2x larger than the VW part for the same price or higher. At this point in time if the roof fails because of a lack of proper required maintenance, the cost of a correct repair with needed parts and a roof alignment using the required alignment tools and a trained technician brought out to a VW dealer from their regional repair hub would cost more than the car is worth. if your roof leaks in rainy weather it may already too late to avoid a big repair bill and most VW dealers may no longer have anybody trained to work on the roof because the trained people have retired a long time ago. The complex work needed to keep a retractable hard top working is why new convertible cars have gone back to using soft tops.

This little item saved me a lot of money. When my own dealer said that I need to replace all the seals to my car. The only thing the car needed was this special oil and like magic the leaks stopped and the seals looked new again.

Although I have not yet used this oil, I have no concerns about it's quality. I'm sure it's fine. My one-star issue (gave 4 instead of 5)is that the dispenser is not as shown in the Amazon page. I specifically ordered this version of this product for the slim metal tube applicator. Instead I received the product with a dropper bottle applicator. Of the two pictures I attached, the white background picture is the bottle shown on the Amazon page. The other picture is what I received. Again, no complaint with the product inside the bottle, but I really wanted the fine tipped applicator.

This is expensive, but it's totally worth it. I had a VERY squeaky sunroof on my 2015 MB C400. I coated the rubber seal all the way around and voila!...no more squeaking, at all!

I build a lot of custom mechanical keyboards and this product has served me very well in bag lubing my key switch stems. Recommend this for anyone who is also into the mechanical keyboard building hobby.

for ANYTHING. Bought for pistol, just used on cat doors (seriously . . . obnoxious squeak and clatter SILENCED). Not saying throw away your WD-40, just saying use Krytox on anything that MATTERS . . .

I bought this to oil up the seals on my 11 yr old Mercedes slk the seals had warped, were pinching in under the top of the windows and were leaking but it's pricwy to replace them and it can often make the leaking worse not better. I heard of this stuff from a merc forum and wow! A little goes a long way, I've done the whole car and hardly made a dent in the little bottle. I just rubbed a little into all the seals on a rare warm day, pulled the seals out from the windows using the back of a butter knife and left for a few hours before wiping off. The seals are much more supple. They have returned to their U pinched state and do not get caught in the windows any more and even better, the creaking that I had grown used to has almost gone. They should tell you about this product when you buy a hard top convertible. Love it!
