Foster Grant Men's Sawyer Multifocus Reading Glasses Rectangular

Love these new Foster Grant Multifocus Glasses! After seeing these advertised on television, I decided to give them a try and they are wonderful!I am new to having to wear reading glasses - everyone jokes how it's a birthday gift around 50 years old yet it's no gift. While some of the glasses can be stylish, I find them to be annoying and uncomfortable. Annoying to take on and off and then have to carry them for the few minutes that I'll need them again - maybe just to read a menu. Uncomfortable because I don't need them most of the time so I end up putting them on my head and then they are just an uncomfortable headband. Well, these are different!!!Foster Grant Multifocus are a different kind of reading glass.1. They are stylish. To be honest, I ordered 4 different style in order to choose which ones to buy for my husband and myself. I chose the Conan style and he chose the Sawyer style. All were stylish just each a bit different.2. They are honestly multi focus so I don't need to take them on and off. For me the best part of this is to be able to type on my laptop, turn my head to read a piece of fine print on paper and then return to the computer screen to type. Ahhh! No more taking my glasses on and off again and again. I probably won't walk around in them yet that brings me to the next point.3. They are comfortable. While the multifocus says that you can leave them on to be able to look straight ahead for distance, I didn't find this the most comfortable - while not blurry, it was just a bit straining. So...I put them up on my head. Wow! Foster Grant has wonderful spring arms so they are a very comfortable head band! yeah!While not the least expensive, I am very very happy with our new Foster Grant Multifocus glasses and will be buying more!I appreciate other purchasers' reviews and that is why I choose to write them now. Amazon reviews help me choose which products to buy. I sort product choices by Average Customer Review to help decide which item to choose. I didn't find a lot of reviews for Foster Grant Multifocus as they are quite new. I have found customer reviews to be very helpful and hope that I am paying it forward by providing this review. Thank you to Foster Grant for making this nice product and to Amazon for selling it and shipping it so quickly. I love Amazon!

Better and cheaper than Foster Grant. My new favorite!!!

About a year ago I bought my first set. Loved them. But as time goes glasses tend to get a beating, so I ordered a new set. That's when things were not the same.On the new set, the nose pads keep falling off. Embarrassing when this happens when I'm at a restaurant trying to view the menu and I am staring at the floor to see if I spot where one of the nose pads landed.On my older set, this never happened. So I compared them under a strong light and magnifying glass, and I quickly spotted the difference.The difference is that they changed on how the pads sit on the bridge. On my older set, they use tiny screws to keep them in place. On the new set they are no longer using screws. They are simply snap-ons.So now you gotta be extra careful when using them. Because if you lose the pads, well your nose will be against metal.Why they changed the design is beyond me. So this is why I give them now only 2 stars.UPDATE:Amazon sent me a new pair, and guess what? Those have the nose pads with screws like my older set. So now it's great again! Increasing it to 4 stars.I dunno why there are two different versions of this model: Foster Grant Men's Sawyer Multifocus Rectangular Reading Glasses - but if you get the ones with snap-on nose pads, get rid of them. See if you manage to get the ones with screws on, those pads will never pop off. Good luck!P.S. What I did notice also a change that these two different versions came wrapped in bubble plastic and the glasses were inside a zipped plastic bag. Where I recall my first set a year ago or more -- it came in those sealed plastic cases -- so I don't know why the package quality has also degraded.

Update few days later 3-8-24The two sides of the glasses have a very small spot welded that holds the two pieces of metal together, and I was very disappointed that just from putting on the glasses, the right side broke right off. The spot weld is so small that you can clearly see it just wasn’t enough to hold it on. AMAZON gladly set up an exchange and is sending me a new pair and I will send these back, but it’s just a hassle of returning the item and I’m just hoping it doesn’t happen again as I’ve purchased a few pairs of these to put all around the house. Will update again if they break again I’m hoping it just happened on the second pair that I ordered and it won’t happen again.My parents turned me on and gave me a 1.5 X pair of glasses for Christmas as cheaters and they are very comfortable. I ordered these because I’d like glasses throughout the house in each place I could be at and I love these new ones I ordered even more than the last pair. Beautiful frame, nice and sturdy.Definitely recommend
