This really works!
Our small pond has been plagued with duckweed . It was completely covered. This herbicide was sprayed over all of it and it turned brown quickly and a few weeks later it’s gone. However, I had to hire someone to know how to measure how much to use with water in a sprayer. There were lacking good instructions for that.

Works amazing so far
So far, this stuff is awesome. Instructions weren't very clear on the mix ratio so I know the first batch I mixed, I used more than needed, but after reading some reviews on here, I went for a 9-to-1 ratio. For others out there who aren't good with that kind of stuff, like me, a gallon has 128 ounces. Multiply that by 10% and that's roughly 13oz. That's how much product you'd use in a one gallon sprayer, with the rest being water of course.Sprayed my duckweed yesterday (originally thought it was algae, apparently a common mistake, and had tried using Cutrine Plus on it, which had very little effect). I also sprayed some big brush/weeds around my pond (.25 acre). The brush and plants growing in the water were completely brown/dead the next day (I checked in the evening, so 24 hours later). The duckweed is turning colors as well, can definitely see where I missed. Hasn't sunk yet, hopefully it will and I don't have to scoop it out.Running my aeration 24/7 for now. Very excited to get this pond cleaned up. I used a surfactant with it as well, others said that really helps it do it's job. I'll update this again in a few days.

Duckweed Removal
I was not convinced prior to buying this product that millfoil weed and duckweed could be eliminated from ponds, but this product really works. My pond was a solid sheet of green and after the first treatment with Reward Herbicide, within a day the millfoil weed began to die out. one gallon of Reward Herbicide will mix nine gallons for spray. I use a 3 gallon sprayer so it allows me three seperate treatments, I usally wait a week in between sprays to see the results. I am very satisfied with this product, and would recommend it to anyone that has a duckweed/millfoil weed problem in there pond.

This stuff works AMAZING on Duckweed, if used with a surfactant. Buy with confidence!
My 1 acre pond was coated with bright green Duckweed!I applied this product with a 2 gallon sprayer and rained it over the surface. The instructions are't vary helpful(at least to me) , so i just went with a good review and used a 9-1 ratio or 13OZ-1Gallon.when i tried this on a small test patch(5' by 5')nothing happened. I read some more online and I found out I needed a surfactant, Tractor Supply had a one gallon jugs for $16 it can mix 1000 or so gallons(I need 2oz- 1gallon it will last forever). Finally I just went for it. I sprayed the parameter with 2 gallons reaching approximately 7' out from shore. This stuff spread allover the surface(surfactant help).7AM before work 6pm after work.

Also a great brush killer
I bought this product to treat water milfoil in my lake. It does a nice job of controlling the milfoil, but since it is almost impossible to put the product on all of the infested areas, I will probably never completely get rid of the infesting weed. At this point I just use the product once a year to kill any new outbreaks of the weed. One hint on using the product is to add a small amount of Dawn dish washing detergent in the sprayer mixture, this will help it kill whatever you are spraying it on.The reason I gave this product five stars is because it is an awesome brush killer. I had cleared out a wooded area around my house leaving the larger trees for shade, but removing the underbrush. As the new growth ( poison ivy, hardwood seedlings, and everything else in between) emerged the following spring, I used a major brand spray on this area and it had very limited success in killing the new growth. I then tried the Reward and it killed just about everything the spray hit.

great product
5/2014We have a 1 acre lake that had a bad case of coon tail. We wasted money on products the farm supply store sold us.Two gallons of reward did the trick. We mixed a gallon in a 3 gallon sprayer. Went out in the boat and treated 1/2 the lake. Waited a week and sprayed the other gallon on the other half of the lake. It was mucky for a few weeks as the vegetation decayed but it's now clear. Best price I found too.4/2015 Husband requested we buy another gallon just to make sure our lake stays clear this year.

Cleared up the shoreline nicely as well so I no longer have to trim ...
This worked as a charm to finally rid our pond of duckweed. Combined with cutrine in a 2:1 ratio and a non-ionic surfactant. Need to keep up with the duckweed that spots up from time to time, but achieved a duckweed free pond for three weeks for the first time in two years. Make sure to do the research on the proper mix for your application and know that it does not have any residual effects. Cleared up the shoreline nicely as well so I no longer have to trim around the edge of the pond.
