ProtecBb & A Double Clarinet Micro ZIP Case (BM307D)

This case is very well-designed. While minimal in size, it still allows you to detach the bells from the lower joints of the Bb and A clarinets. The joints are cradled with no play. Holds 4 barrels, but only one mouthpiece. Looks sturdy as well.My R-13s from the 1970's will sleep well here.

First off; This is a beautiful, well-designed, well-built clarinet case! I can’t speak to its durability since it only arrived last night, but it appears VERY solid and will likely last a LONG time.I considered the BAM case, but it was nearly three times the price and I didn’t want/need the backpack straps. Glad I opted for the Protec Instead!Now, some specs: YES, it WILL hold both Bb and A Clarinets, BUT, only ONE of each. The cutouts for the two lower clarinet joints are different lengths: The one at the front of the case measures 10-1/4” long, while the one in the middle measures 10-3/4” long. These fit my Bb and A clarinets (respectively) perfectly. This seems to be what this case was designed for: Storing one of each type. If you need to fit TWO A Clarinets in this case, you might run into trouble (though the velvet-lined foam is soft enough to have a little ‘give’ and could possibly be cut away if necessary).It has storage for four barrels (my Fobes 68 fits fine) but only a single dedicated mouthpiece slot. It would have been nice to have a second mouthpiece slot, but the adjacent long storage slot will accommodate one in a pinch (but at the expense of reed/accessory space).Overall, this case has a solid, professional look and feel. I’m VERY satisfied with this purchase!

I love this case. I wanted something smaller and lighter than my Buffet double case plus something that would accommodate my Buffet Festival with the extra pinkie key on the left. That key sticks out and will not fit in all cases. No problem with this case. I like everything about this case except for...It lacks a slot for a second mouthpiece, the accessory cavity is skimpy, and, worst of all, it is not stable when standing either on the bottom or back. I thought a very long time about giving this four or five stars but the latter won out in the end. The construction and design overweigh the negatives.Worth all the money and I would buy it again.

My daughter plays in both the concert orchestra and marching band. In other words, she has a very expensive Bb Clarinet (wood) and a very cheap Bb Clarinet (resin) that both need to go to school every day during marching band season. This case fits them both and is perfect for our needs.Now, some more notes for the ones who need in-depth information.There is only one mouthpiece spot, however, the compartment that is meant to hold the cleaning system/cork grease will also fit another mouthpiece.Her wooden Backun Bb fits snugly in the larger compartment sections of the case. We have never owned an A Clarinet to know how much bigger it might be. There is a chance that if you own a very nice wooden clarinet in A, it may not fit. As for the smaller sections of the case, the wooden Bb "bell" does not fit, but the rest are a tight but acceptable squeeze. We had originally planned that her nice clarinet would go in the proper Bb section and the cheap one would rattle around in the larger A section. By the explanation above, you can see how that turned out.

The quality of this case is truly awesome. I had to return it because my son's clarinet would not fit in there.... Loved the case though..

Un poco grande comparado con estuches normales, (pero es que son dos clarinetes en un solo estuche!!)Estoy muy contento, ya que puedo transportar cómodamente mis clarinetes.El plástico se ve de muy buena calidad, el cierre corre muy suave, la correa que viene está acolchonada, muy confortable. Es para clarinetes en Bb & A pero yo lo uso para dos clarinetes en Bb aunque queda un poquito flojo, pero ya cerrado nada se mueve de su lugar. Y pues no hay nada mas que decir, la marca habla por si sola con sus productor de excelente calidad. Lo recomiendo mucho si estás interesado en este tipo de estuche.
