Animal Spirit Guides: An Easy-to-Use Handbook for Identifying and Understanding Your Power Animals and Animal Spirit Helpers

I was introduced to this book by a friend who does extensive work with healing animals. I appreciate the illustrations, the succinct information about what each animal symbolizes to me personally and how I can apply that to my everyday life.I have purchased this book in paperback and kindle form so I always have it handy for quick reference. I have also gifted it to some of my animal loving friends.If this review is too simplistic, please do yourself a favor and get a sample of it to get a better idea of what I’m saying.

Great reference book. Sometimes you need a little guidance when being guided by a spirit animal and this helps you see where you need to focus your energy

Excellent guide to the spiritual meaning associated with animals. It appears more in keeping with some of the ancient and traditional Native American meanings I've seen, and the author includes quite a few resources which is refreshing. It's concise and offers insights as to how various animals might reflect characteristics that either you possess or of the particular situation which is often why they are drawn to you or you to them, be that in actual life or a dream or vision.In addition to an alphabetical listing of 200 animals you'll find a fairly in-depth cross reference at the back of the book listing which animals represent different characteristics and meanings. So if you wanted to know which animals represented something like abundance, or insight, the animals with these characteristics are listed, and from there you can look up each specific animal to better define them to the situation.This is a well organized, insightful and easy to read book.

The information in this kindlebook Animal Spirit Guides: An Easy To Use Handbook For Indentifying and Understanding Your Power Animals and Spirit Helpers by Steven D Farmer PH.D has come to my awareness at a good time especially because of some colorful animals I have seen in some mystical andor brightly colored vibrant sleeptime dreams. The author features a wide mix of animals ranging from cardinals, owls, opossums, bee, cats, blue jays, rabbits, eagles etc. Animals in my sleeptime dreams are usually far from common for me although since March I have had an increase in far from usual animal sightings at strange times in my waking life and more than one sleeptime dream less than two weeks ago that is less than usual for me. However for the purposes of my open minded supporters I will at least share that I had one sleeptime dream where I spotted some giant live brown looking bear that appeared to be a part of some stage showcase with what appeared to be with some other animals during some snow season near an outdoor park close by where my husband and I currently live (which is even stranger itself because as far as I know there is no such bear that is native to the region where my husband and I currently live) though it was clear as day that this gigantic bear was looking in my direction for some reason in a walk path that I frequently use for my fitness walks, have used frequently to go to work during my most recent employment etc. Even with this bear briefly having me in its eye sights, I fortunately succeeded in running away from this brown bear in my sleeptime dream because I was easily at least 100 yards or more from this bear a far away enough distance to have time to successfully run away from it. Still, fortunately giant bear sleeptime dreams are unusual for me and having a kindlebook like Animal Spirit Guides by Steven D. Farmer PH.D helps me to further decode strange sleeptime dreams involving animals in the case of the bear and other far from normal animal sightings I would prefer to avoid disclosing for good reasons. Less than 4 weeks ago I also had an interesting sleeptime dream involving some brightly colored rabbit and some animal that looked to be either a giant/gigantic bird or eagle with very large eyes though because it was in some type of mystical looking world that was strange even by my standards it is best to leave well enough alone and avoid disclosing further details of that dream.

“Animal Spirit Guides”, by Steven D. Farmer, Ph. D. Farmer has tried to take the confusing topic of animal guides etc. and sort it out into a workable body of reference knowledge.As with all such books, it presents nearly unlimited opportunity for debate, but that’s okay. This book is still among the best of several I’ve seen, even if only for the fact that it is based on plausible assumptions within, or without, the “scientific community”. Farmer also made the good decision to structure it so the reader can easily move between “What is it?”, “For what purpose does it appear?”, and “What is its’ connection to Me”? And then (thankfully) he added a sort of “concordance” to enable the reader to “search” through the entire gamut of animal guides in order to quickly (relatively) refine their conclusions. A feature that I think is particularly valuable is Farmer’s constant references to animal spirits in the role(s) of healers, in particular. I would think this to be a very good “have at the elbow" reference for anyone interested in animal guides, totem animals, power animals or whatever nomenclature one uses.

This is an easy to access guidebook for people who wish to know why certain animals are appearing in their lives.It does not matter what religious belief you hold, if you believe that animal spirits have messages for us, this book is for you.Besides answers to why certain animals appear to you, the book also includes information on which animal spirits to call on if you have certain needs. For example, if you are overwhelmed with mundane everyday life matters, and wish to break free from it, have a moment's peace, regain inner calm and become more in touch with your spiritual side, this book gives you a list of animal spirits to call on for help.If you enjoy meditating, you will find that the animal spirits are an excellent meditative guide as well. It is a different kind of peace, it enables you to become more in touch with Nature, and gives you a healing power from within.

This is the best book to have when looking for meanings to animal spirits and animals that keep showing up. What is the message this book helps you discover that!

It is an interesting book that provides a lot of detail not 100% British animals or birds but still interesting

This book is practical, informative and can help you with so many aspects of life. if you want to dive a deep dive into shamanism this book is the one you should go for.
