Manilife Original Roast Smooth 1KG (Unavailable)

I tried this on a whim, I already had a favourite peanut butter but wanted one that was natural without added oil, sugar and preservatives. I have tried lots of natural peanut butters, they are always nothing like the junk peanut butters or ones with additives, being runny pouring consistency and even the so called "smooth" versions are just loads of tiny pieces of nuts floating in natural oil. I didnt expect much of this. I am amazed. It has the genuinely smooth, thick consistency of junk butters we all love. Genuinely spreadable and just a beautiful smooth, thick, creamy consistency. I dont know how they have achieved this. I had to re check the label to make sure it really is just peanuts and salt. Taste wise, its just the right balance of sweet and salty. Absolutely amazing. I will only be buying this brand from now on. If you want it even thicker you can put in the fridge. I put mine in the fridge as I like to add it to my yonanas machine to make a peanut swirl and it has to be quite solid for that to spoon it in. Perfect product. Delivery with Amazon was next day with Prime. Well packed (double boxed). No problems at all. 5*

I’m so happy I found a seller on amazon that sells this peanutbutter because our local supermarket stopped selling it and I cant find it anywhere in my country. I bought 5 1kg buckets. I’ve been addicted to this peanutbutter for almost 5 years now! Its so good and creamy tastes wonderful on its own or on a sourdough toast with a drizzle of honey! I love it i love it i love it! The seller is very nice. I received the product in good condition as promised! Will definitely buy it again soon! FYI: for the people who think its too salty when they’re half into the bucket.. please remember to mix it well as soon as you open it because the oil and the actual peanutbutter tend to separate and need to be mixed VERY WELL.

Quite honestly I'm somewhat of a peanut butter fanatic/addict. I have tried numerous brands from supermarket own-brands to big brands. I had never come across ManiLife before but decided to take the plunge after reading the reviews. I was admittedly a little sceptical about how good this peanut butter would be as up until now I had tasted a myriad of peanut butters so reading comments proclaiming how good this brand was made me feel that it might be over-hyped. Fortunately I was wrong. I was genuinely surprised when I tasted this peanut butter. It was really creamy and smooth. The crunch was satisfying and it has the perfect amount of salt and appears to be blended amazingly well such that each spoonful tastes balanced - no sections that taste much saltier than others. This is easily the best peanut butter that I have ever tasted so far (including the unhealthy peanut butters with added junk!). I am looking forward to trying the deep roast version next to see how it stacks up. Quite pricey but definitely worth the price.

Dark Roast? It must be coffee... nope, it's peanut butter. But not just any peanut butter. These peanuts have been taken to the edge of burnt and then mashed into a crunchy, oily, buttery pulp. And the result is a spectacularly rich, deep flavour that's completely unlike any peanut butter you've had before. A 1Kg tub is a generous helping and should last a long while. The lid can be a bit fiddly to get on/off but you know it will keep the product fresh. There will inevitably be a layer of peanut oil on the top of the butter, just mix it in a bit as you scoop some onto your knife. Crunchy is awesome, large chunks of crunchy peanut in a smooth butter give it a great texture too. The flavour is really something - the best thing to do is taste it. I doubt you'll regret it.

Really good flavour, but one to have as an alternative or in addition to other nut butters. The deeper roasted flavour of of this product is really nice and definitely sets it apart from others. And like many people today I like to use nut butters as a protein rich addition to various types of food such as baking, breakfast dishes or stir fried. I found that this works really well with some things and the deeper roast gives it an almost umami-like flavour. For example, this is great as a brownie style ingredient but can slightly overpower a spiced oat dish. It's something I found I enjoyed experimenting with but I will use in addition to, rather than a replacement for other nut butters and I'd recommend using it sparingly at first.

This is by far my favourite peanut butter. For me the consistency is just right with the right blend of smooth creaminess to crunchy peanuts. The taste is sublime, a really golden roasted peanut taste. No nasties added just pure peanuts with a little salt. It's not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. Each 1kg tub keeps for up-to 3 months once opened although I have no idea how anyone would need 3 months to eat a tub. The only problem I have with this peanut butter is eating it too quickly. There is also a smooth version, and a deep roast version in both smooth and crunchy. I have tried and enjoyed them all, but this is my absolute favourite.

This peanut butter is heavenly! Not just when compared to other all natural no sugar added peanut butters, but all peanut butter! I used to adore the American style crunchy peanut butters but after eating Manilife dark roast, they just taste overly sweet without any of the depth of flavour this has. The texture takes a little getting used to but there is almost no separation of oil like in other natural peanut butter - a quick stir and you're good to go. But the flavour, oh the flavour! Rich, complex, not too sweet and utterly addictive. Spread on toast or on a bagel or just cut out the middle man and spoon directly from the tub - the only problem with this incredible stuff is you may find yourself getting through a kilo tub way too quickly, it really is that good!

Having run out of peanut a week or so ago, we needed to get some quickly. Typically we've always gone for Whole Earth or Pip & Nut, but I came across ManiLife and liked what I read so I thought I'd give it a chance, and bought a kilo of both the crunchy and smooth butters. Having made it to almost the end of the crunchy one, I have to say I am now fully converted. This is THE BEST PEANUT BUTTER I have ever tasted. The flavour is incredibly deep and indulgent. I love that you get unbroken half nuts in there rather than chopped pieces. And, it literally goes with everything... toast, breadsticks, rice crackers, jam, marmalade, chocolate, straight from the tub. The search is over. There really is no better nut butter than this.
