Platinum Pro by MANGROOMER New Back Shaver with 3 Shock Absorber Flex Heads, Power Hinge, Extreme Reach Handle & Bonus Case! (Generation 8.0), 4 Piece Set

This is an upgrade from the original Mangroomer that I had and only have positives to report. A few initial observations. 1) the new unit is shorter but not by enough that it’s even noticeable. 2) the new unit seems to run at a higher speed but is a little louder. 3) the additional larger head is awesome for grooming large areas. 4) operation is identical 5) the older units heads work with the new unit. I’m keeping them as backups. 6) I like the design of the new charging cable. The old 1 required additional space based on the design and the cord coming off the bottom of the unit. 7) The added storage case is a great addition! Like the older unit it’s really easy to use, has great battery life and the handle extension makes it easy to reach anywhere. I don’t have great shoulder flexibility and can easily reach a and groom my entire back. If you are looking for a men’s body groomer, I’d highly recommend this. The last 1 lasted me for years and I see no reason that this new unit won’t last and perform just as well. I had tried other products/brands before finding the ManGroomer and none lasted or performed as well.

What's more, they assured me that I don't have to worry about returning the original shaver or covering any shipping fees. This level of customer care has solidified my loyalty to Mangroomer. I highly recommend this brand to anyone looking for both excellent products and outstanding customer service.

I have had back hair ever since my voice dropped. I've always hated it. Always been self-conscious about it. And never had the tools to do something about it. That anxiety started, oh, about 23 years ago now. Today, for the first time in my whole life, I shaved my own back. I didn't cut myself. It didn't hurt. I did it comfortably from the privacy of my own bathroom. So, if you're a man-ape like me: YES. It works exactly as described. You can get every single hair off of your back and it looks great. But the con: the plastic is obviously very thin and brittle. This is not the sturdy blast-proof plastic on Wahl trimmers or something. I feel like, perhaps, a few dollar store knockoff GI Joes I had as a kid were made of better stuff. The "platinum" is definitely not in the polymer they chose for the device... Anyways, look: you're probably looking at this because your back is a fuzzball and you're tired of looking at it, or asking the SO in your life, or getting flayed alive at the waxer. Yes. This works. Buy it. Maybe don't expect it to last forever. Or do, whatever. I'm not your mother.

TL/DR: I don’t recommend the PLATINUM PRO. If your hair is coarse, thick, or sensitive — or if you just want a smooth, painless shave — this unit probably won’t deliver. Unless they seriously improve the blade performance, I’ll be looking for something else. I recently bought the MANGROOMER PLATINUM PRO Back Shaver (ASIN B07VSGPWYP) hoping to replace an old unit that served me well for years. Unfortunately, after just a few uses with this new unit, I’m left feeling let down. First and foremost: the blades. Compared to my old shaver (which lasted many years), the platinum-pro blades don’t feel nearly as sharp or effective. I found myself pressing harder and running multiple passes over the same area — and instead of a smooth finish, it felt like ***hair was being pulled***. That tugging sensation made the shave uncomfortable and left my skin irritated once or twice, which defeats the purpose of a “shock absorber” / flexible-head design that’s supposed to be gentle. The advertised features — the 2.7-inch ultra-wide blade head, multiple attachments, extendable handle, and shock-absorbing flex necks — all sound nice on paper. ([Amazon][1]) In practice, though, none of those features make up for the fact that the blades just don’t cut cleanly. The shave ends up uneven, patchy, and sometimes painful. I also expected better battery life and ergonomic advantage. The unit is marketed as a “do-it-yourself” back shaver that should glide seamlessly across skin. ([Amazon][1]) But because I have to press harder and go over areas repeatedly, the ergonomic benefit is lost — I end up with sore arms and longer shave sessions. To be fair, the extra heads and wide coverage seem like they could be useful. But none of that matters when the core function — effective, safe shaving — fails. I’m unhappy because I bought this hoping for an easy, clean shave for back hair. Instead, I’m dealing with snagged hairs, uncomfortable pulls, and disappointed expectations. Does the job for very hairy coarse back. You will need a small handheld mirror to see what you're doing. Needs patience and time to get it just about right.

The machine is amazing its so light and streamlining while using it it trims very fast i really recommend it
