If you could only have one book on bees, this would be the one
Once upon a time I was a beekeeper and had a library of beekeeping books. Of all the books, this was the most informative. Although this book series is written with children in mind, I bought these by the box and gave them away as presents to to parents and grandparents so they could read to their kids about the life of bees, honey, and their contributions to civilization. Well-written with lots of excellent color illustrations, "Inside a Beehive" is a good, fun read that children love.If you could only have one book on bees, this would be the one.

Bees!
I grew up with Magic School Bus. It was my favorite when I was kid. Our daughter is really into science so I have been collecting more and more. I really want to teach our daughter about bees at an early age. They are so important and I think that needs to be taught very early since they are in decline.I was very impressed with this book, lots of information and it kept her attention.

He's always like school buses and has some budding science interests
This was my four-year-old's first Magic School Bus book and it has been a huge hit! He's always like school buses and has some budding science interests, insects and bees in particular. This is a long read-aloud, but my son has been entranced! I usually just read the main text, but I love that there are extra facts in the margins that we can introduce as our son gets older. Highly recommend!

Beekeeper recommended.
My kids loved this book! We heard from a beekeeper how accurate this book is and to keep my kiddos entertained while learning is the best in my opinion.

Inside a Beehive...
great series in general, and this is no exception. how do you make science fun? create cool characters and have them experiencing science first hand. my daughter (who is 5) loves under the ocean, gets programmed, the senses, inside the earth, and half a dozen others, and this is equally as good. highly recommended.

Great book
My 4 year old loves The Magic School Bus and the Joanna Cole books are my favorite because they are the most informative and easiest to follow (and the best to read out loud to a preschooler with a short attention span). This book was great but unfortunately, ours came with a weak binding and the pages started to come out the first time I opened it. Half the pages were loose by the time we got through the first read. I have to figure out a way to re-bind the book so we could read it again.
