There is green mold inside some Brazil coffee beans. It looks like some worm holes contain copper green mold. Not all worm holes have mold, but there are enough of them to be noticeable, especially if a bean is broken because of too many holes (see photo). I do not know if this is a bad / dangerous mold, yet am loath to contaminate my utensils and kitchen with it. Once I noticed them in the Brazil bag, I checked the others, and found a few beans with copper green mold inside the worm holes in Columbia coffee, too.The beans are not washed; they contain fibers of different colors. Sumatra is particularly dirty with a lot of detritus and fibers.

Excellent coffee, very high quality taste, the co. is also courteous, when I needed help understanding how to make the beans ready to brew. I even spoke to the owner over the telephone, He couldn't have been more pleasant to me.
