Infantino Disposable Baby Food Pouches, 4oz, 50-Pack, Homemade Baby Food

Absolutely love these pouches and the filling station that works for them. These are one and done, but so convenient and I know they are clean on the inside.

Food pouches are an awesome invention, and somewhere between the price of pre-filled pouches and the freaky pics that were going around Facebook of moldy food inside opaque packages your kids were putting straight in their mouth, I started to love the idea of making our own. I tried the Kiinde Foodii system and Twist pouches after using the Kiinde bottles and bags for nursing. When I saw the Infantino system, I had to try it too. These pouches have a few advantages over the Foodii system and Twist pouches. Of course the filling mechanism (which you have to buy separately) is super cool. It was a lot easier to fill these with the filling station than to fill the Twist pouches with the cup and spout provided with the Foodii set. Aside from the filling station, the primary benefit to these pouches is that they are ready to go and completely disposable/recyclable, just like what you would buy from the store. The spout is built in and the lids are disposable and come with each pouch. The Twist pouches have a wider neck, which is good for the nursing system, but to use them as food pouches you have to attach a spout or spoon that you wash and reuse. Ok for at home, but not as convenient for on the go, which is why you really want to buy pouches. I like that its a 50 pack. I am a pretty busy working mom, so when I find time to make food for these suckers, I want to fill and freeze as much as I can in one session. I filled some with homemade baby food that I can freeze, thaw in warm water or fridge, and then squeeze onto the spoon for fairly mess-free feeding for my 6 month old. When she's bigger we can skip the spoon step. I also made some with applesauce and some with yogurt for my 4 year old as I'm always running late and pouches make a great in-the-car snack. I was hoping the yogurt would work to replace our standard frozen Gogurt while being slightly more nutritious, but they have to thaw quite a bit before you can get it out of the little spout. If I remember to throw in the fridge the night before it could be a good running out the door option. Pros: -Disposable/Recyclable, with spout built in and disposable lid -Easy to fill with the filling station -Price - these are cheaper than the Twist pouches, and depending on what you put in them, cheaper than buying pre-packaged pouches from the grocery store. Cons: -Have to purchase and use the filling station. I'm sure there's a way around it, but it can't be very easy. That spout is pretty narrow. -Smaller size - only 4 oz. Ok for my 6 month old, but would have liked a little bigger for my bigger kids. Twist pouches are roughly 6 oz -Adds an additional cost over just freezing food in jars or ice cube trays. I think the cost is worth the portable benefit.

My family and I really love these pouches. I purchased these along with the squeeze station and they really are awesome! Once a month I buy all of my son's favorite veggies, cook/steam them, make the blends and stuff the pouches. I make 50-60 pouches at a time and this usually lasts me a couple months with a 10 month old. I use these when I don't have anything prepared for him to eat already, when we're on the go or when he is at the babysitters. They are seriously so convenient and amazing! They last for up to 2 months in the freezer and take just a little bit to dethaw. I always place them in a cup of cool water for about 30 minutes. Or if we're on the go I take them out before we leave and they've usually dethawed by the time he is ready to eat them. Most importantly, I know what is going into my son's body. This allows me to easily make organic baby food for almost $.30 cents less a pouch that the already prepared organic baby food pouches. If you didn't do organic you'd save even more! It's worth every penny really. Overall, I recommend buying these if you're interested in making your own baby food. They are by far the best solution for baby food storage especially if you're comparing these to the cubes. Here are some pros and cons to these guys: PROs - Easy to take on the go - Can put any food in them you like and customize your food blends for your baby - Can be stored for 2 months in freezer - See through to identify what is in them and easy to label - So easy and quick to stuff takes just minutes to put the food in! - Great for travel CONs - A little costly - Can't be reused Try them out, I'm sure you'll love them too!

Works well as refill. The size is good for my needs, although it is small. Well sealed, and it keeps everything clean!

This package arrived less than a week ago, and yesterday I had the chance to use it for the first time. While my daughter (11 months) was napping, I grabbed several things and blended them together (with my immersion blender). Yogurt, spinach, 2 old bananas, applesauce, oatmeal, chia seeds, cinnamon. It was very tasty. I blended and filled 8 1/2 pouches, and put everything away / in the sink for washing in less than 45 minutes! When my daughter woke up, she got the 1/2 pouch smoothie, and highly approved. Half of the batch went in the freezer, and the other half she will eat the rest of this week. Now, the secret to my success was a syringe (more on that later). I did NOT buy the $30+ filling station. I nearly didn't buy this product, even after hours of reading reviews for it, and other fill-at-home pouches. Many reviews for the Infantino Pouch talked about how hard it was to fill without the station. I just couldn't justify getting the station when one of my goals was to save money! On the other hand, I wasn't excited about spending twice as much money for pouches, when I wouldn't have even received enough pouches for my first batch of smoothies. As I read reviews, I wracked my brain for the answer. My daughter was in the middle of a round of antibiotics administered through a syringe. I thought, if there was a syringe big enough, I could use THAT to fill the Squeeze Pouches! And, there is. This is just small enough to fit perfectly into the spout of the pouch, but big enough to get the food through. One advantage of the syringe is the finger pulls (for lack of a better word) rest nicely on the edge of the bowl, so there is little mess as you cap the pouch you just filled. I did have a few clogs where the oatmeal was not finely ground. I think next time I add it, I will grind it separately first, and will likely avoid this problem. As with other reviewers, I like the fact that the pouch is transparent. It is nice to see what the product is and how much is left. My daughter easily grasped it and ate her fill. Another bonus is that the lids are designed so that they do not add significantly to the overall height, but are wide enough to not be considered an immediate choking hazard (though of course you should always monitor your child when around small objects or plastic). So, for all of these reasons, and more I am happy to rate this product a 5 star product. The more is that it allows me to monitor what my increasingly independent daughter (no spoon feeding for her) eats, especially by adding more fresh veggies into her fruit loving diet.

I bought the Infantino Disposable Squeeze Pouches for my daughter, who makes homemade baby food for my grandbaby, and they’ve been fantastic! The pouches are easy to fill and perfect for on-the-go feeding. My grandbaby absolutely loves his homemade meals, and these pouches make it so convenient for my daughter to store and serve them. Highly recommend for any parent making their own baby food!

I originally bought reusable pouches for my homemade purees but as expected they were hard to clean. Bought these thinking I would be filling them like the reusable ones (slit at the top so you can spoon in the food) but it turns out they have to be filled through the spout you eat from. Didn't feel like buying the Squeeze Station which seemed like one more thing to clean and take up space, so I figured out I could fill them w/a turkey baster. I've heard of others using food grade syringes as well. Took longer but I set aside a few hours every so often to make large quantities of food anyway so a few extra minutes wasn't a big deal. Overall these are really cute and convenient for feeding while out and about. I will continue buying them and using my method for filling. I would recommend these. **Update-after using my method of filling on 3 different occasions I broke down and bought the Squeeze Station and I'm glad I did. Isn't as big as I thought it would be so I can easily store it in the closet. Takes a lot less time to fill the pouches and isn't very time consuming to clean. Overall I love the whole Infantino system. Also bought the spoons to go with the pouches and they are awesome. I have 2 other brands of pouch spoons and these are the best...the hole is much bigger so it's easier to get the food out. Others I have the hole is small and only very runny foods will come out of them.

I make my grandsons baby food and these are great. They hold a perfect amount and freeze well.

Perhaps not great from a sustainability point of view as they are one time use. But great to make healthy fresh fruit pouches for the kids.

Parfait pour les pompotes maison! Simple à laver, par contre 50 poches ça fait bcp, une trentaine aurait je pense largement suffit. Pour l'instant les poches réutilisées sont en parfait état (pourtant plusieurs fois utilisées chacune), à voir à très long terme (je les utilise depuis 3/4 mois déjà).

The pouches are pretty sturdy, and when filled can be put in to the freezer. My great niece, whose 5 yrs old loves these as it means I can take her favourite yoghurt out with me and she can eat it without any mess even walking along which is great, no messy yoghurt pots that may be spilt, no spoons needed and they are great for picnics or packed lunches. They are a little on the expensive side working out at about 39p each pouch and are only useable once - unless like my niece you come back to have it refilled with yoghurt!! A good product and very handy to have..

Me encanta poder preparar anticipadamente los alimentos para mis hijos; en el refrigerador por dos días y en el congelador hasta por dos meses. Súper útil que los pouches tengan espacio para escribir el que alimento es y la fecha de elaboración. 😃
