5 starts for fit and function
This is a great cheaper option if you need a battery door. I normally have my battery grip on so didn’t realize I didn’t have the door.This was the second brand I have tried and I am sticking with it. The other one was cheap plastic and did not fit.It does not have the words canon written on it like the picture in the description. But I am not worried about that. It is also a slightly different color then the camera body. Once again I am not worried about that either.I have not used it on a shoot yet but I have played around with my camera at home and it seems to keep the connection well and have had no problems with my camera shutting off.I am giving this 5 starts for fit and function. If you are looking for something to match your camera color and say canon then this is not for you.If something changes I will update my review.

Works perfectly!
Since I have used my add on that allows me to have two batteries in the camera, I lost my old battery clip. This one works great. Just like the original.

Ordered Three of These Before I Figured It Out
I ordered three of these - none of them fit really well. I finally figured the best approach was to sand down the metal piece where the hinge connects. It is almost like you are custom working that metal piece to make it clear the camera base to give you a fully closing functional door. I modified all three of them - none of them fit a Canon 7D Mark II straight out of the package!

Make sure the screws are tight!
When I was attaching the cover to my camera one of the tiny screws that secure the contact plate to the door fell right out!! Looking closer I noticed one of the other screws was loose also. The door fit my Canon 7D mkii well but I suggest tightening the little screws first.

Perfect Fit!
My camera’s door has been held together by duct tape for over a year now. This was a super fast fix and a perfect fit for the Canon 7D MII

Fits perfectly
Fit as well as the original. .. make sure you order the correct cover for your camera as the older version will not fit the MkII

Poor quality - avoid
There should be a retractable peg on the door. This door doesn't have that. Poor quality plastic as well.I'll be trying another brand.
