71070-BK Long Hollow Leather Mandolin Softy Strap - Black

The Softy strap works beautifully on A-style and F-style mandolins. It's metal-free construction prevents scratches. True, it is not designed to be adjustable, but there is enough extra length that it's easy to punch extra holes (I use a belt punch and X-acto knife to make OEM- style holes, but I am admittedly an obsessive perfectionist). In fact, I have a Softy strap on each of my 6 mandolins, each one cut to make different sizes and shapes fit me and my style perfectly. I suppose a custom strap might beat a Softy, but inevitably at a far higher cost. Excellent value, quality USA-made product!

Its a plain, soft leather strap. It is plenty long, so you can adjust it to the perfect size using a leather punch, and cutting off the excess. Its leather and very strong, yet soft and doesn't scratch my 95-year old A-model mandolin. It suits my needs perfectly and I'm ordering two more.

Good product and attractive look. It's cool, but keeps growing. I'm petite and I wish there was a smaller model.

Hollow refers to empty inside, which means rolled and stitched. It's not, just a flat (not stitched edge) thin, very light weight, leather strap. Mandos are light, so it works, but not what I expected.

Long hollow is the company name, not the product description. It is a flat, soft leather strap, very comfortable. Not too thick, or stiff, but seems durable. I'd order again.
