First time assembling a wooden puzzle.
I purchased this puzzle because of the picture and it is a wooden puzzle. It is my first wooden puzzle and I wanted to see what they are like. I enjoyed the puzzle because of the bizarre picture. Difficulty in my opinion is 8 out of 10. I probably would have rated it 7 out of 10 but I was not used to a wooden puzzle. The individual pieces are basic four sides with knobs and notches. The puzzle came with a poster that is as large as the puzzle. The back has an Alphabetic pattern to verify that pieces actually go together. Some differences between cardboard and wooden puzzles: (1) Wooden pieces fit together very tight, once completed the puzzle can be lifted and held by one corner without falling apart. (2) Wooden pieces do not bend or fold, if enough pressure is applied they break. (3) Because the pieces fit so tight, taking the puzzle apart after completion was a task. I had to dismantle it one piece at a time. In doing so, I was not cautious and broke a piece. Wood glue and a clamp are being used to fix it. (4) Make sure a piece is in the correct location prior to snapping it into place, the pieces do not come apart easily. (5) The paper picture is not as strong as the wood to which is attached, thus when snapping the pieces together a minute bit of the paper on the edge of the piece can get shredded. For me it was not obvious at first what was happening. It looked like there were flecks of dust on the edges of the pieces. This was not really a big deal for me because I take my puzzles apart when I am done and store them back in the box. But if I were to frame the puzzle and display it, this may not have been acceptable. I listed these differences between cardboard and wooden puzzles not to imply one is better than the other but to let you know what to expect. As I stated, this was my first time assembling a wooden puzzle. Over all it was a good experience and I will be more cautious with the next one.

Fun puzzle to make
I like the how tick the pieces are they snap together well. The only downside, is the puzzle kind of curves at the corners when completed. But high on my list!
