ZANE (Pleasure Extraordinaire: Part 1)

Zane is only getting older. He normally has sex with a woman only once and then moves on to another one the next day. Quite a few months ago he fell in love with Lindsay but she is with his brother Ace. He tries to drown out his broken heart with alcohol and sex. It's not working. His secretary convinces him to stop drinking so much and to try to date women instead of just having sex. She wants him to settle down and get married.This is not a standalone. You need to read the PE books first. They are amazing. This book is, however, a cliffhanger! Grr.Great book! As with all of the PE books there is editing issues. You can tell her book is edited. It's just not as good as it should be. The pacing is great and the characters are good as well too. If you've read the PE books already than you already know Zane fairly well. I like that you get know him and his insecurities better in this book.If this is a series that is only two books then it's great. I'll read the next book and be happy. If the next book is not the conclusion then I won't be reading the rest of the series. I don't normally return to series after waiting for new releases. I forget too many things in between and find myself always having to refer back to the previous books. It makes me dizzy and I always lose my place so it isn't worth it to me anymore. If she does other complete series I will definitely read those.

Liv Bennett is a gifted and talented writer but didn't earn her five stars this round. Unfortunately, this is the first book of Zane and it ends with a cliffhanger. Yes, I want to know more and there is plenty of room here, but alas, another book.Zane is a successful businessman, gorgeous, a womanizer with bedroom antics for the willing and open-minded. His family is not his strength and nor are they people he can or ever could rely on. The exception is his assistant. She lived with his family in her teens, then worked for his demanding & cruel father. Now, she works with Zane and is helping him find the perfect woman to settle down with. His desires are grand and the future Mrs. Zane, must be accepting of his less than discretionary ways. Will he find the right woman or is she already found and he just hasn't realized it yet?Read on, then be left hanging just as his big head registers what his little head sprang to life with early on.

I've been waiting for Zane's story for a while. I love Liv Bennett's books. If you haven't read her books, I highly recommend you start with the first Pleasure Extraordinaire. Zane was the villain throughout the series, but being dumped by the love of his life has put him in a destructive, tailspin. Zane is the quintessential ladies-man who moonlights as a gigolo at Pleasure Extraordinaire. He hasn't met a woman he doesn't want to fool around with. Julie, his personal assistant, sets him up on dates in order to meet his future wife, but they all end badly. Zane wants to give up on finding a wife. He is attracted to an actress who is much younger, but if that isn't enough of a problem, he's also her boss. Liv Bennett leaves us hanging the only way she knows how to. I can't wait for Zane 2!

I was skeptical at first if I was going to enjoy reading Zane get his HEA because after the way he treated Lindsay, he doesn't really deserve it. But reading more in depth his POV and knowing Julie has his back and her history with him, I'm totally on board to reading this to the end in Part 2, to read the ending I'm longing for. Because of Julie, she has made me be a Zane fan.Part 1 will have you tear up for the horror of Julie's past. I still have some hate for Zane with his womanizing ways. In one part of this book he had sex with four different women in one day, REALLY! who does that! No woman wants a man with his past unless hers is just as tainted.Excellent book Liv Bennett! I can't wait to get started with Zane and Julie's conclusion in Part 2!👏

It was a serial. Male lead was not likable, couldn’t stand his one moment thinking and treating woman as objects to slate his lust, others himself working in prostitution? wTF? One of first scenes he’s stuck in traffic and meets two girls he thinks are underage and won’t touch because of concerns of going to jail. So what does he do? They show him ID (which underage girls don’t have fake ones for bars) and bangs them both in hotel, leaving right after he’s satisfied. Only one I liked was his “secretary”

This story is mediocre at best, plus it ends in a cliffhanger 😠 As a matter of principle I will not buy the next book because of it. The story line is ok, but the book contains many misused words and grammatical and punctuation errors. I do not recommend this book.

Very quick read. I could not even get through the first chapter. All it talked about was sex. I am so sick and tired of sex books (pornography) being classified as romance. Where is the romance? I don't mind a very few sex scenes that are pertinent to a story.

This is one of those books that ends and all I can think is that I definitely won't be buying the sequel.Zane isn't that likeable of a character and as he's the main one- that's an issue in a romance book.The whole mysterious subplot with Julie was just odd. The book starts off in only Zane's point of view and then half way through starts jumping between Zane and Julie. It just didn't work.The whole plot of the story just also is a big fail for me. It just didn't work and constantly left untied strings. Ex- Lindsay.I wouldn't bother with this one. Loads of much better books out there.

Enjoyed this book and it was a nice quick easy read.Not too much depth but enough to make you want to carry on reading this book and the next.

This book was ok. It just goes to show whatever happens in your formative years affects you once you become an adult.

Looks like first book of a series. Zane is a not very nice character, suddenly deciding he is bored of his shallow sex like. Doesn't really work for me - plenty of one-off hot sex scenes but nothing of any substance. The plotline with Julie is also a bit weird/stalker-ish - not sure how that is going to pan out

I loved the Pleasure extrodinaire books and this one is just as good. I couldn't put it down I've recommended it to all my book friends as I did the other pleasure ones. Can't wait for Zane 2 to be available. A well worth fantastic read.
