A little bit gives a firm hold. Of all the clays I've used this is the best. The first time I bought it I didn't like the way it's hard to get off your hands after application. Don't use water or soap, just rub off with a dry towel. Worth the slight inconvenience for the superior results.

I’ve been using this hair clay for nearly 10 years and it was hands down the best product I’d found. The old formula had the perfect matte finish with a strong, natural hold. Unfortunately, since the recent packaging/formula change, it’s just not the same. The new version has a strange fibrous texture that leaves my hair looking and feeling dry, almost straw-like, rather than giving the clean matte finish it used to. At first I thought I’d just got a bad batch, but I’ve now bought four tubs from different places and they’re all identical. I’ve also tried contacting the manufacturer, but haven’t received a response. It’s really disappointing to see such a great product changed. I hope they consider bringing the original formula back.

First time using fish. I found it to be very hard thick clay in the pot, really had scrape to get it out. It has nice smell to it. Recommended is a pea size amount and warm up in the palm of your hand. Then apply from the back to front. I did just that. Worked in well when I get it going but was a little bit clumpy. Has a matte finish and a strong hold and was reworkable throughout the day. I knew it was going to be tricky to wash out when I washed my hands after applying it. After a day I went to was it out and it doesn’t wash out very easily. Only slightly easier to wash out than Dax wax for those of you that know! Overall it is a good product. Just washing out is a little frustrating.

I used to use this when I had hair, brought it for my 15 year old boy and he loves the smell and holds his hair just how he likes it giving a slightly matte finish....

Very hard and don't really do much for your hair...

I love this product. I haven't been to a barber for several months. Partly due to lockdown, partly due to a complete loss of interest in my personal appearance. However, a swift application seems to tame my unruly locks, enabling me go out into the world without being attacked in the street
