You can't have enough cowbell
I bought this as a present for my wife after watching the Blue Oyster Cult 'more cowbell' sketch from Saturday Night Live. She looked a bit puzzled but I thought it was a great present. Good tone. Sturdy and would definitely work on a cow too if you wanted one for its original purpose. Can also be used for percussion if you like that sort of thing (e.g. A Bomb on Wardour Street by The Jam). Requires wooden beater to operate.

Quality.
I'm not a drummer and my son has just completed Grade 2 so we aren't experts. Advised he needed a bell so bought this one. It's absolutely fine. He is delighted with it and thinks it looks really cool. It's good solid metal, not flimsy. I can't comment on the tone though as we have no other bell experience, but it sounds great to us.
