Review: I lke these very much... - I have been wearing various versions of this shoe for a number of years now. At least 3 pairs over the years. This new version is very good as well. They fit just a tiny bit smaller than I expected, but still fine in my case. They are comfortable and have great support. The top lace area has hooks like hiking boots, which I like. They have come and gone a few times, but I favor them as it is easier to get the shoe on loosely and then hook the laces at the top. The tag says they are breathable and yet waterproof. I just got them, so I have not tested that yet. There was also a question about warmth (the desertcart questions). I don't know that this particular shoe is meant to be warm or not. They aren't boots. I would definitely recommend them. They are a bit like 4-wheel drive sneakers to me... Review: Just What I Was Looking For - Didn't realize that finding a hiking boot in black would be so difficult! First I tried another style in the Columbia line that was all-leather. Much too tight. My feet tend to be kind of wide behind the toes where the big bone on the side is, but my heel is normal width. So I sent them back and tried a Timberland model. Better, but still not real comfortable. (Are you sensing a "Goldilocks" theme here?!) Finally tried this model of Columbia. Just right! Very comfortable, and in my opinion, better-looking than the other two that didn't fit well. I'm very happy with these.

Just What I Was Looking For
Didn't realize that finding a hiking boot in black would be so difficult! First I tried another style in the Columbia line that was all-leather. Much too tight. Not very wide
I first ordered this boot in M Width size 8. They were too narrow, so I reordered in the wide width. They fit, but there was a defect in the right boot. There was an excess of liner material in the toe box that crowded my toes. This made the boot uncomfortable, so I returned those then received this replacement pair. My complaint with these is that the rubber across the toe of the right boot is not attached straight. This is pretty noticeable as you can see in the photo that I'm posting, but not big enough of a deal for me to replace yet another pair. I have been looking for a good, comfortable pair of hiking boots, so I have tried on a lot of different boots over the past few weeks. These are by far the most comfortable AND affordable boot that I have run across. They have good cushioning insoles and an added benefit is that the insoles can actually be taken out and replaced with something else if you wish. They are light weight and have awesome tread. I think they will be a good boot. Again, I want to remind you that the width of these boots runs narrower that most others. I'm a female and I always buy wide width shoes. I've never had any issues with anything not being wide enough until I started trying on Columbia boots. I first tried different styles in the women's wide width boots and they were way too narrow. I then decided to try out some of the men's boots. That is why I originally did not order these in a wide width. I assumed they would be wide enough since they were men's. So my advice to men is if you have wide feet these probably won't be wide enough for you.

Great Fit and feel!
Love my new boots. Glad to find a wide boot that is light weight and very comfortable. Im a technician who is on my feet all day and these boots make life a whole lot easier. Columbia is a great brand and just affordable enough for the everyday working man.

Safe and strong footed comfort- Get’some!
Amazing! Lightweight and crazy comfortable! Had a large blister on a heel beforehand. I put them on and soldiered on- had no issues. Totally fine and comfortable even during the break-in period. On the trail- the grip and move exactly like they should. Love em! Feel safe and footed.

Decent shoe, but...
Comfy, and the build quality is good, which I'd expect from Columbia, but these things don't breath worth a darn. I shoulda known better from a waterproof shoe, but they fooled me with the "breathable" tag on the headline. I overheat easy, so these kinda suck in that regard.

Nice materials, durable and surprisingly water resistant.
Bought for $60, use them everyday as a light work boot and hiking shoe. Would highly recommend and would purchase again. Stiching quality is above average and I have no complaints as I usually split shoes at the seams before wearing them down. Never had a a wet foot from these when walking or hiking.

Fantastic
The shoe light on the foot, most like products are heavy on the feet. The soles are hard enough to walk confidently and soft enough to grip the ground. But most importantly I have wide feet and my feet fit snugly with no squeezing feeling.

Very impressed!
As soon as I got the package I was like a kid at xmas! I opened it up and the shoes look exactly like they do in the picture. They fit perfectly and are sooooooo comfortable to walk in, especially since I have a problem ankle that keeps acting up. And, with it being winter where I am, the shoes are comfortable to walk in, I don't feel like I'm going to slip when walking over any icy patches, and they are so warm! I am so happy I got my feet on these!
