Excellent Book For New Owners/Considering Owner
The media could not be loaded. I bought this book after the 1 year old doe lionshead lop I adopted unexpectedly had kits. However, I am a second time owner of a bunny and wish I had bought this book sooner! The book is broken down into 5 parts1. Bringing on the Bunny BasicsTells you what rabbits are all about and offers information for you to decide whether a rabbit is right for your lifestyle, how rabbits are put together, how to choose your rabbit, and where to find your rabbit.2. Taking Care of Creature ComfortsThis part talks about housing (indoor/outdoor), grooming, and feeding. How to litter box train your indoor rabbit is also found in this part along with why keeping your pet cleaned and groomed and instructions on nail clipping and fur upkeep is also found in this part. This part lastly informs you on what is best to feed your bun and what you certainly should NOT feed your bun. This part also briefly coaches you on how to recognize common rabbit illnesses and how to prevent them but most importantly when you need to call a vet. The coolest part of this section of the book is where they inform you on how to put together your own bunny first-aid kit and how to handle your little buns emergencies.3. Rabbit Psychology: Behavior and TrainingRabbits have their own personalities right like any other pet you may have, in fact, in my opinion rabbits have the BEST and COOLEST unique personalities. This part of the book helps you to understand your buns body language and gives you helpful tips on training (including how to train your pet to do a few fun tricks.) Most importantly this part will teach you how to handle/deal with common rabbit behavior problems such as biting, chewing, and digging (most importantly it's important to not stop youe rabbit from doing these natural instincts but to deter them to a place where they are free and able to do these things.)4. Enjoying Your Fun BunnyThis part explains how your rabbit isn't just a cage kept animal but rather just like any other pet you have where you can play with and teach tricks to. This part will discuss playing with your bun, how to get involved in rabbit clubs and shows (if you're interested in having a show bunny), and how to safely travel with your little furry friend! It also covers the unique sport of rabbit hopping and details on how to get involved with rabbit social issues (or fights.)5. The Part of TensThis part covers three separate subjects: 1. Health Emergencies, this covers the 10 signs that require emergency action. 2. Useful Rabbit Web Sites, this gives you 10 of the best links on the internet for all rabbit lovers. 3. Ways of Enhancing a Pet Rabbits Life, this covers 10 ways to make your bunny's day special everyday.Overall, I feel this book is a MUST if you own or are planning to own your own rabbit or many. It covers every in and out to rabbits and what is required to take care of and be sure your bunny lives a long and prosperous life with you. It's literally like the title says, could make even the biggest dummy a rabbit genius. It's so important to know all that you can know and then some of an animal that you are planning to take on as a pet and this book covers just about all that you need to know and if it hasn't covered something, the websites that are included in Part 5 of the book more then likely will cover what it is you are wondering about. I do know that the one website listed is BinkyBunny and that specific site has a forum filled with new and old rabbit owners that are more then willing to help other rabbit owners out.The book is simply a MUST if you have a rabbit and are like me and would rather have a hard copy book that you can highlight and take notes in it's empty margins of the book to help you and for you to reference at your biggest times of need to reference such material.

Super information
Very informative and super helpful in finding resources. I rescued 4 bunnies and this book referred mainly to one rabbit information for having in the home. Common sense is the best in having more than 1 and not a house “bunny”. Depend on your instincts and be kind and loving and all will work out. These bunnies have been a blessing and made me complete.

This is pet book not a Rabbit / Hasenpfeffer on the menu book
Lots of great information for the care , feeding , health and traveling with your Rabbit. The only thing is doesn't tell you is how to butcher your rabbits to eat.

Good info but not happy with the overall tone.
The information is good but it definitely has overtones of the animal rights agenda. Rabbits do just fine outside and there is nothing wrong with buying from breeders. I have found more rescues to be scams and unethical than I have breeders.

Misleading Amazon description
The Amazon product description says it is packed with informative photos and sketches. Out of 300 pages there were about 10 sketches. It was bought for a 10yr old so will be returning. The book does seem very interesting with lots of detail but just not what I was expecting.
