this mask is so much more beautiful in person. It is very true to the photo provided. In all reality, in the end it is the previous customer reviews that made me buy this mask. Some of those consumer reviews concern me, though, with how different our masks were, even though they were ordered a few days apart. occasion purchased for: my high school Junior prom in a month (as of today!) As for the seller: i ordered the item, and it shipped less than 2 hours after i ordered it. I ordered it late on the 13th, i got it early on the 16th. shipped 2 days before expected, and arrive 4 days before expected. for shipping from california to the opposide side of the US, that is VERY fast shipping! The packaging: it was in a box with a little plastic bag. the box was rather large and kept it from being squished in the mail, but it had no protection inside the box. I assume the mask was in the little plastic bag, but it wasnt when i opened the box. condition of the product upon arrival: the mask was in excellent shape. it wasnt completely flat, like other metal masks reviews, but it wasnt very true to face shape. It is what i call the "factory's face", which is essentially the shape of the press the mask is made in. This "factory face" was a bit more flat than non-metal masks, because it is metal, and factory presses would have damaged the mask. this shape is completely normal. the entire mask was in tact. none of this was a huge problem, as can be seen in the rest of the review. The mask itself: PROS: all rhinestones are in tact, and good quality. none of the paint was shipped, and it is a pure shiny (but not overly shiny) black. The metal is rather thin, which makes the mask light, which is very lovely. The thinness of the mask makes it very easy to meld to your face. all you have to do is do a little base work with the larger parts (like the cheeks and the corners), and then fit it to your face and press down to get the right nose shape (if you want it to fit your nose for a more painted on look). I was rather gentle with it, but it only took less than 5 minutes to completely change the shape of the mask to fit mine. None of the black paint chipped off, even when I bent some parts quite a bit. While bending, the metal didnt form an angle. the bend remained smooth and round in shape, which is really great and makes it even more perfect. CONS: poor location for the ribbon. the ribbon itself is rather thin and cheap. It is a good length. it ties well, but the location of the ribbon is poor. it is attached closer to the top of the mask than the side, which makes it sit strange on the face. This is, again, an easy fix with some black ribbon (or the same ribbon) attached similarly to a much more ideal location directly on the side of the mask, which is easily accessible. this wasnt a con for me, but it could be for others: the mask is smaller than it appears. it fits an adult face, can form to an adult face, the eyeholes are big enough and for me, the mask couldnt be seen while wearing it, but it does seem shorter than in the picture. Reaction/replies/confirmation to other reviews which havent already been mentioned: (feb 8, 2013: 1 star) Yours came in a padded envelope? Mine was in a rather large heavy duty box, and was purchased a few days after yours. Maybe yours came from another seller? (feb 4, 2013: 2 stars) It is made in china, which isnt in the description. the metal is not poor quality, but it is rather thin. I could not see any of the glue from the rhinestones. i bent the mask quite a bit and none of the paint chipped.I thought it was very worth the money. (feb 15, 2013: 3 stars) mine wasnt bent out of shape. packaging and shipping may have bent yours, but I have to agree, a firm and gentle touch is required to mold its shape, though it didnt take me a few hours to get it right, but instead a few minutes. I CANT WAIT TO WEAR THIS!!!

(silver w/ no gems) So pretty and delicate. Comes wide and straight (which seems like it would allow a good fit for someone with a wider face, and then is Very easy to bend to face shape for smaller faces). No mask is going to fit every eye shape/spacing, or face, but it seemed like a really good standard with wide eye openings. Snipped off the ribbons it came with to change out to match a dress color which was easy to do. Very thin, and comfortable to wear, while also seeming sturdy and well made.

The mask is very pretty. I was concerned purchasing something like this online without being able to see if, try it on in person, but it had a lot of good reviews and it was a good price so i thought why not!? The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because the ribbon on the mask was a little "cheap" for lack of a better word... I mean, it's not a bad ribbon, however, it wasn't attached to the mask very securely. When I first put the mask on, as i was tying it, the ribbon came off one side of the mask. I mean, it's easy enough to glue and/or tie back on, but then after I did that... the other side popped off! lol ... again, easy to put back on, but it was a little annoying. All in all though, the mask is beautiful and fit my face very well. I didn't have to bend it very much at all. That is another thing though... you can easily bend the mask to fit your face. I can't wait to wear it to my Masquerade Party!

My daughter had a Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball to attend with her homeschool group. I was a little concerned about masks, because she's autistic & has sensory issues. We did a lot of searching and read the reviews. This mask was stunningly feminine & had pink stones. It had good reviews about comfort & staying in place, & I liked the fact that everyone said the mask could be formed to individually fit the face. When it came, I was still concerned because it is metal, but surprisingly, my daughter found it comfortable and wore it all night long. If you are concerned about comfort, get this mask! if my daughter liked it & was able to wear it all night long, you'll find it comfortable too.

This mask is delicate, but very stunning. The item I received was packaged neatly and had no flaws. The metal can be gently molded for a perfect fit to your face. It is very light weight. I was surprised when I first picked it up at how light it is, considering it is metal. It is true that some of the prong bits do look like if you are rough with it they might break off, but considering this is an adult mask I would assume most users would not have a problem with this. I found this to be well made and the price simply can't be beat. I put this up to a mask I purchased at a local super store chain at Halloween for roughly the same price. There is simply NO comparison. The other has elastic, while this has pretty ribbons. The superstore mask has glue marks all over the heavy trim glued to it. This has no glue marks and instead offers a light and delicate silhouette. For the price this is amazing. I would have easily payed up to $25 or $30 for a mask of this quality, and likely would have had to at a local costume shop. I can't wait to wear this!

It's good the mask is a moldable/bendable thin metal, and yes it looks neat on, but....this is not a mask I could wear comfortably for any length of time, the metal is bendable across my face but not down my face, so it feels quite restricting and...mask-like. I know, I know, lol. The eye holes are kind of small...I have large eyes and the edges of the eye holes are restricting to my vision and lashes no matter how I bend it. The rhinestones were not glued on very well, one had come off during shipping but thankfully was in the package so I was able to glue it back on, but several of them have globby bits of glue around them and are off-center-not a problem from far away or in a dim light (probably the conditions of wherever people wear these kinds of things anyways so don't fret). The ribbon attached for tying around your head is very cheap and flimsy, but you could get a heavier duty velvet ribbon or something to replace them with if you were fussy. Basically, I think it's worth it for the $9 or so, but you might want to be prepared to do a little modification to your liking.

PROS: The mask is metal, not paper. (I don't know about you, but that makes me very happy. I can't stand paper masks) It was very easy to bend to fit my face, but I had to bend it very carefully. The mask is very light and I could wear it for days! Mask came in a day before expected; Very happy with the way it was shipped. :) CONS: I feel like the mask will snap easily if bent too much. The ribbon keeping the mask on seems very cheap, however that's not a problem with me. It may be a problem for others though. The rhinestones are gorgeous, however, they seems like they will fall out if something catches onto it. I'm sure the rhinestones will stay, but you never know. I'm hoping the glue stays strong. Overall: I absolutely adore this mask! I have a masquerade prom coming up, and I've noticed most of my classmates have ordered plastic or paper masks, and they're already regretting getting them. So, I can't wait to show this mask off! Would definitely recommend! :)

Beautiful comfortable mask that's easy to bend to fit your face. Only docked a star because the tie (rather than elastic) band made it a bit harder to secure on my head. I just put a couple Bobby pins on the ribbon to hold it from sliding.
