OUCH!
I bought this to be able to play with our new dog in our unfenced yard. We got a 6 ft nylon leash on Chewy and this 30ft on Amazon. The quality comparison between the two is pitiful. On the Chewy quality leash, it's about 3 times thicker and much wider. This one has unfinished sides that have sliced my palms when the dog runs for his ball. The hook is also worse quality. For a 30 foot leash, I'd expect a strong sturdy hook. This one is tiny and thin. I think the dog could get away from it very easily. The quality of construction and material are horrible. It's not a deal. Get a better leash for a bit more $.

Awful
Purchased this for my 4 month old puppy. I wanted to safely provide him with free range in our backyard. Although it did the trick, it teared in just a couple of weeks. I was extremely disappointed and it was scary when he really had free range...I quickly grabbed him when I noticed rope had teared. Not durable. Not worth the money and definitely not worth losing my beloved pup.

I searched for a long and sturdy leash for my Beagle. This one did the trick. I use it when we walk on the beach and when we sit outside together. It gives my dog enough freedom that she almost thinks she is off-leash! Best of both worlds: This leash provides lots of freedom for my dog to roam and it ensures her safety because I don't have to worry about her running away.

Get what you pay for
As a temporary training tool that you may not want to invest in long term, perhaps this is a great disposable option for the money. Suppose for the price, this long of a lead is good value. However, the leash is extremely thin in all dimensions, and the metal its very poor quality, looks like pot metal. I have concerns if my little 25 pound pup could literally break the metal piece after a hard tug, and if he wanted to, he could easily chew thru the leash in moments. Im sure it will give me weeks of good training but i have little faith this will survive months or more. Them again, it was super cheap….

Great for Apartment Outings and Potty Training
I bought the 30ft leash and made sure it was the color of the grass. I wanted it to be as invisible as possible so that my dog would feel like they were freely roaming while the leash was attached, so that I could practice commands for training to be off-leash. I live in an apartment, and the yard is communal, so whenever we go outside my dog has to be on a leash, and because she is short (aka, close to the ground), a 6ft leash keeps her right by my side so that's not enough leeway for anything but walking. A retractable leash is only 16ft and is more for walks than training/potty. This leash seemed just right. If you are debating whether to get 15ft or 30ft, get 30ft. 14ft is the length of a large bedroom; 30ft is the length of some backyards. You can always just step on the leash to make it shorter. I keep mine in a flowerpot by the door, so I don't have to wind it back up again. This leash is a potty training lifesaver if you don't have a fenced backyard. My dog won't potty if she thinks I'm watching, so this is a great solution.I don't know how long it will last yet; it is not as thick as many 6ft leashes or even collars. But I don't think I will be pulling on it much, because it is so long, so it will probably last a while. Worth the price to try out.

Nice leash
We have a dog that does best on a longer leash. I love that this one was available in many different lengths. I like the color selections available and also the weight and durability. It’s a nice sturdy nylon weave and wide but thin so it rolls up really easily. We have a very energetic young dog who is still learning. I don’t feel like she’s going to break or get off of this leash very easily.

Great leashes
I have purchased several of these for different purposes because they are sturdy and reasonably priced and have a number of options of color and length. I cut the handle off one to use as a "house lead" that we leave on the new puppy: it trails behind him and helps us spot him as he noses around the house and makes it easy to grab him if needed. I got a long one to use in the back yard so we can play fetch and know that he can get in a good run but not run off if he gets the notion. And then I have a shorter one to use as a regular leash to take him for a walk.

Not sturdy leash. Won't last
My 2 year old English pointer chewed on it and broke free in less than 10 minutes of tying her outdoor with this long leash. She's proud of it and taunting me with the look... this is all you got? Well, I got her a steel leash next time.
