Mask: I Pledge Allegiance to the Mask, The

I have always loved The Mask comics and checked them out after seeing the Jim Carrey film back in the 90s, the originals were gory and bloody unlike the film and I loved the contrast between the two.This is The Mask back to its roots. Gory, violent and definitely not for kids. The political undertones are kinda forced into the story and it's over far too quickly but still worth a read if a fan.

Honestly a very disappointing entry for The Mask. Often feels like it’s trying too hard to be as violent as the original while also lacking all the colour and energy of the original.Speaking of, this artstyle is fugly (no offence to the artist) I just cannot vibe with it at allAlso in terms of writing it’s again trying way too hard to be edgy and cool and it just comes off as a little desperate. If this is the kinda comeback the mask is gonna have I’d wish he’d stay gone
