A little spendy but then all lightweight and easily packable items always are. This was the perfect choice for me for size and weight in my backpack. Easy to inflate and deflate, durable, very comfortable and helps to keep me warm at night. Lots of choices out there but this one I highly recommend.

I really have no complaints about this Klymit pad, except that it was narrow for my comfort level. I returned it and bought the Klymit Lux version, and I am extremely happy with it. The pad is standard, rolls up nicely to a very compact footprint, and fits nicely in its bag. It is lightweight, takes up very little space in your backpack, and holds air well. The chambered design makes for a comfortable sleep, and its insulation helps keep you off the cold ground. Not right for me, but I would still highly recommend this sleeping pad.

PROs - The synthetic insulation does provide a nice reflective heat when laying directly on the pad. Did not test using sleeping bag. - Of the 3 pads I tested (Gear Doctors Self Inflating/Insulated Pad & MEETPEAK Foot Press Inflatable Pad) it was by far the most comfortable in any body position- back, side or stomach. - Met description that 10 breaths completely inflate pad, 2 extra breaths provided extra firmness. - Of all the value inflatable pads I’ve used in my life this is the most effortless and quickest to deflate and put back in original bag. - Stayed firmly inflated for an entire week. CONs - Pad does not come with a pillow, thus the you’ll lose some length if you choose to use one, thereby can become to short for people over 5’6”, assuming the pillow is approximately 6” wide. - The pad inflation value is flat against the pad which does make it slightly burdensome to inflate. However, finding a sports drink cup straw that married up to value worked easier for me. Note I cut the straw down to about 6” (the size of a dollar bill). - Being an inflatable pad if it does get a leak (pin hole) finding the hole by dipping in a creek in 38 degree weather. With this said, the material is fairly tough and don’t believe you would sustain a leak if using a ground pad a/o footprint. Why did I not choose this pad- it came down to the pillow.

Awesome product. The new valve is an improvement from the prior design. Both made for easy inflation/deflation but the new design has even better inflation via the one-way valve These are super light and comfy. Two of these went with me on a trip to Panama and were used on a sailboat for two weeks. Since they don't have a porous surface water rolls off and they were always dry. We put these down on the benches in the sailboat over the cushions in the boat, making the seats much more comfortable. Our friend really loved them, so we left them behind to remain on the boat. These were also great to take on afternoon trips to the beach from sailboat.

I was so excited to get this ‘insulated’ pad that boasted an R value of 4.4, I believe? Last night in my zero degree Enlightened Equipment bag, with the cold weather Klymit sheet on top of the Klymit sleeping pad, Thermarest closed cell pad beneath everything, my base layers, down balaclava, down booties, and my down pants nearby, I settled in for a 40 degree sleep. My whole body was freezing from the cold coming from beneath me. Thank goodness for using my gear at home before heading out to the Mid State Trail across PA and the Colorado Trail this spring and summer. I’m glad I saw a YouTube video review that stated Klymit’s insulated pad did not have the 4+ R value it claimed, and is rated at more like a 1.3. I’ll still keep it for warmer weather, as it is light and packable, and very comfortable.

This is the second one of these insulated sleeping pads I've purchased. The first one is somewhere floating in the Illinois river after I failed to secure it to my kayak (unknowingly). I ordered another one immediately to replace the lost one. Because: a) this is the most comfortable sleeping pad I've used out of a couple dozen b) it inflates quickly (I do use a mini battery powered air pump for it) c) deflates quickly d) the inflate/deflate valve is of an excellent design that speeds up either process e) the V-shape of the center of the pad keeps your body where it's supposed to be, where it's most comfortable f) includes nice color matching pouch sack with a pull string compressor on it Overall, this backpacker / hiker would definitely recommend. A+

These may have been just our experience so use your own judgement. I bought two of these for me and girlfriend along with the inflator bag to use on a 7 day/70 mile hike in southern Missouri (hilly/rocky terrain). The inflate/deflate valve is easy to operate and great but the cap over the valve is horrible and nearly impossible to get to snap close without accidently hitting the adjustment tab and loosing some air. The material seems durable, but only one trip with them in a tent isn't enough to say. Klymit must feel they are because all you get for a patch kit is a 1"x2" piece of Tenacity tape (love that stuff) We used them for the first 5 nights with night time temps ranging from 32 to 60 degrees and never were cold (very weird weather patterns in S Mo). But given all these they were not a match made in heaven for us. In fact we cursed every night about using them as for both of us they hurt our backs. Mind you I'm 5'11 195lbs and an experienced backpacker and she's 5'4 115 lbs and this was her first multi-night trip, so wasn't just a matter of weight distribution or experience. The last 2 nights we gave up and slept on $10 blue Walmart camping pads and woke up only once in the night.

I travel a lot and find most beds uncomfortable as a side sleeper (too hard, too gooey, too indented, etc). So I got this to travel with. Recently took it on a trip in my carry on. Found it very comfortable, was surprised at how supportive feels for my body. I also need it as quiet as possible because I move around a lot and sometimes am in a room with other people. It's not silent, but def quieter than others I tried or looked at, and it didn’t bother me when I moved. I can blow it up with 12 very full breaths. Very easy to deflate and pack up.

Good quality and a nice light pad. I already own the static V Luxe but wanted a lighter weight option for longer trips. Packs down nice and the new valve system is a great improvement on the previous old style valves. Its comfortable, easy to inflate/deflate and easy to pack down. One thing that does bug me is the snap top of the valve as it is an absolute pain to snap it in without inevitably letting a little air out. Its a pain but not enough to drop a whole star!

I initially forked out more money to buy a good quality sleeping pad for backcountry canoe trips where I could afford a little extra weight in exchange for more comfort but I needed something lighter and more compact for hiking trips. While I've only had 2 uses out of this sleeping pad, I'm surprised to say it's actually overall better than my expensive one! This pad is very comfortable and kept me plenty warm on a cold rainy night. The width and length was perfect for me, it was easy to blow up and most importantly, I didn't bottom out when rolling around. We'll see if it withstands the test of time but for now, I'd give this a 10/10!

Me pasé a este popular y recomendado colchón hinchable tras haber probado marcas premium, que dan colchones refinados y con componentes más complejos y prácticos, como las válvulas; son colchones cuya experiencia de uso general es de más calidad, pero con precios disparados que quizá no merecen la pena. Al final lo que importa es que un colchón dé lo que necesitamos: dormir con confort y sin sorpresas. Mi impresión es que este Klymit es un producto básico y sin refinamientos; pero bien hecho y que cumple su cometido tan bien, o mejor en algunos aspectos, como otros mucho más caros: no es tan práctico de manejar al hincharlo, por ejemplo a la válvula a la que tuve que "cogerle el truco" (salta durante el inflado si intentas llenar con exceso de presión); no es tan cómodo como uno liso sin sus paneles en V, pero sí es muy cómodo y se puede dormir confortablemente de lado, que creo que ese mínimo que todos buscamos; su material no es tan fino, pero no filtra aire y también parece más resistente; no es ruidoso, o al menos no más que la competencia; y la válvula y la construcción tienen un sellado muy bueno: el colchón ha estado cuatro días hinchado en casa y no ha perdido nada de presión, cosa notable que no pueden decir algunos de los premium. No puedo valorar el aislamiento al no haberlo usarlo con frío. Lo veo muy recomendable, 570 gramos en su bolsa original medidos por mí, no trae saco de llenado; pero sí un parche rápido repara-pinchazos. Ah, y este vendedor me lo entregó en casa tan solo de un día para otro.

So far so good. I've used it on 2 camping trips so far and it does everything it's supposed to do. It's easy to blow up and quite comfortable. 5 stars.

No me decidía entre este o un thermarest xtherm y la verdad es que no me defraudo en absoluto y cuesta la mitad que el otro. El tamaño es muy compacto y es un caliente por las noches, lo probé acampando a -2C y nunca pase frío a pesar de que mi sleeping no era el mejor.
