Nice sturdy handle. Use a 5/16 washer if your wall is too thin.
A while back I bought the unknown BBQ lid hinge for my Weber kettle, which is great, except that I burn my forearm occasionally when lifting the lid. To avoid this, I ordered this handle. See the attached picture. As others have mentioned, the required wall thickness is a little thicker than the Weber kettle lid. This is easily remedied by using an additional 5/16” stainless steel washer behind it. One thing that is a little concerning, is the nylon insert lock nut that is included. I used a heat gun Set at 700 degrees, and the nylon did soften. Not sure if the vapors from this is harmful. If you wish to replace the nut with a regular hex nut and lock washer, I believe the threads are M10, which should be available at Big Orange or Big Blue. The handle works for its intense purpose. No more burnt firearms!

Perfect for my wood burning stove in the Shop! I bought an old stove that was missing the door handle. I was using the poker to open and close which became a pain.

Rusty Handle
I bought this to use on my smoker that stays out in the weather but under a metal overhang where it doesn't get rained on. I am now seeing rust forming on it and it's been roughly a year since I installed it. Will see how it goes over the next few years, I expect it will get worse. Other than that, it works great and protects against burning your hand.

Threads are kind of short, But it works well. Wish they made it in a straight shank without the bend in the middle.

Overpriced, but it does work well
I used this to add a heat safe handle to my outdoor fire pot. Install was easy and the handle has performed well. No rust has developed on the coil and it's actually sturdier than the door it's attached to. The only problem is the price. It's a lot to pay for a simple coil handle.

Great product. Quality by the looks & feel of it and performed great. my regular BBQ got blown over in the wind and this was the replacement.
