Roadtrip FM Transmitter for iPhone and iPod with Smartscan

When I first purchaed this product I used it all the time, without any problems. But my hearing is not as good and I don't listen to the radio as I drive anymore. But it worked find and you can unplug it and leave in the glove box that way no one can break in and take it.

I've only had this for a few days but I'm quite pleased with it. From looking at the picture I had expected the "wire" running between the charger and the iPod cradle to be ... floppy, I guess would be the word. I was worried about where in my console I would stash the iPod so that I could access the controls without crashing. I haven't seen any other FM tuners in action, so maybe this is standard, but the "wire" is actually very thick and stiff. Once it's plugged in, you just bend in in whatever direction/orientation you wish (it's really quite flexible) and it supports the iPod independently. I have it snuggled right up close to the console just to the right of my hand when I'm driving and it's perfect! I had some trouble figuring out how to get the presets set, but then I read the manual. (LOL) It does take several clicks to change from one preset to another, so I won't feel comfortable doing it when I drive for a little while yet - I'm sure once I've done it enough I'll be able to do it by feel. My only complaint is that for some reason it seems to reset to a specific channel whenever I take the iPod out and put it back in, so I had to make that the channel I always keep my radio on. Fortunately it's a clear one. For someone in a more populated area (I live in central Maine), this might be a problem. Overall, this is a GREAT piece of equipment. I would recommend it.

Although this is supposed to work with iphone4....it's intermittent. No matter how many adjustments I made, every time I hit a bump in the road it disconnected. And the controls on the player never worked, from day one. Really irritating that I needed to unlock the phone ever time I wanted to change the song.

Specifically for 3 series iPhones and iPods...works but is not sturdy with my iPhone 4s. yhe signal it produces is very staticky especially if my phone is charging. Quick scan feature is not very accurate, I had to personally find the 2 best stations to use. All in all I don't recommend this unit. Spend a few extra dollars on a better one. You get what you pay for.

The FM modulation works fine and the cigarette lighter connection and bendy-hose arm thingy work well. The two problems are: 1) There is no way to set it so that it automatically tunes to a preset station on start. I had to change to a preset every time. It was only 3 or 4 button pushes, but still it was unnecessary. 2) The iPhone falls out very easily on sharp turns. The only thing holding the phone in is the connector and the front and back plastic walls. However there is nothing but the connector to keep it from going side to side. This is the killer problem. I'd have given it 4 stars otherwise.

This is probably the best FM Transmitter that I have ever used. I was leary to purchase it for such an inexpensive price, but it was fully legit. My only issue with the product is in the frequency selection. The device will scan all stations and select the 3 best. However, sometimes these stations end in even numbers...ie: 93.2 or 93.4. My radio only does odd...ie: 93.3 or 93.5. Obviously this is not the devices fault, but I wish I could tell it to only select odd stations. enjoy.

Difficult to read display. Can read only at night with no other lights on and then it is dim.

Super Halt im Auto. Nach kurzem lesen der Bedingungsanleitung war auch die Bedienung ein Kinderspiel! Kann das Gerät nur empfehlen und auch die Ladefunktion ist nicht zu toppen!

Ich habe den FM-Transmitter für ein iPhone3G angeschafft. Bedienung und Funktion sind einwandfrei. Auch mit dem iPhone, auch wenn eine Meldung erscheint, das Gerät sei nicht für das iPhone konzipiert, die kann man getrost übergehen. Empfangsstörungen gibt es kaum, der automatische Frequenz-Scan funktioniert gut. Ein einziges Manko habe ich: das Gerät speichert nicht die zuletzt eingespeicherte Frequenz. Diese muss, wenn das Gerät von der Sromversorgung getrennt wird, immer neu eingestellt werden. Immerhin bleiben die automatisch gespeicherten Frequenzen erhalten, auch wenn die nicht immer die besten Frequenzen sind. Alles in allem aber ein wirklich brauchbares Gerät.

Concept intéressant mais le support flexible mériterait d'être un tout petit peu plus long (pour les voiture ayant un allume-cigare placé assez bas sur la console) et un peu plus flexible, justement. Par contre, aucun adaptateur spécifiquement prévu pour le iPhone 3G à l'époque. Donc bricolage obligatoire avec un élastique pour le faire tenir. La lisibilité n'est pas optimale mais reste acceptable.
