Great woodworking book for a beginner like me, found the step by step instructions easy to do when trying new woodworking jobs. Will certainly be something i will refer back to. Many thanks.

It was an okay entry level book. The projects were lacking parts of the the instructions. They did give you the option to how long or tall you wanted the projects. But if so then instruct the reader on what the dimensions are for the ones made in the pictures. Then state you can make larger or smaller.

Easy to read and very enlightening to the novice woodworker. Well written and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the inspiration for woodworking.

I really don't think the other reviewers read the book. It could be a high school student's homework project. The included information is incredibly shallow and unhelpful, and the step by step instructions don't actually tell you how to do what you are trying to do. Yoo will end up with more questions than answers. I suggest you look elsewhere.

A nice starting point for beginners, with many pictures and illustrations.

A pathetic excuse for a book of projects. Best described as toilet paper the only difference you get better value for money with loo roll. The projects are the sort of things we might see brought home by a teenager attending pre-GCSE woodworking class. If you want a spice or a pipe rack then knock yourself otherwise steer clear of this rubbish. The author included "Beginner" in the title, I suspect to justify the lean fayre enclosed within it's limited leaves. However, any beginner surely needs explanation of technique and the tools required in order to complete a task. This book fails to deliver on every count. Even the images are poorly represented and the paper is the sort found in the cheapest of paperbacks.
