Classic white rice that cooks up quick in the microwave
Minute Rice has been a pantry staple since I was a kid. I keep it on hand for quick sides or mix ins for dinners and for anytime my dog has a tummy upset and needs rice to make him feel better quick. Huge box for the price, high quality, and easy to make. Box was sealed and rice fresh, keeps for ages but I so switch it over to a jar with a sealed lid to prevent spoilage.

Just add hot water!
Minute Rice is just that! Taste, texture and smells like rice cooked from scratch. It does not stick together like some rice which is a negative for some people, but a positive for others. It CANNOT be beat for convenience and versatility when your time or cooking ability is limited. Simply boil water, add any seasonings, cover and wait or cook a couple minutes more and serve. As a backpacker, having lightweight, quick cooking foods is essential and Minute Rice fits the bill. Pair it with Dehydrated Refried Beans for awesome Beans and Rice!
