Got these for my teen athlete after a sprained ankle, very supportive and help her get back into her basketball routine without being in pain or scared to get hurt again. A bit pricey, as they are sold individually, but EXCELLENT find.

Daughter had developed a weak right ankle from a sprain years ago. Plays competitive b-ball 9 months a year and needed some support for that ankle. First attempt. I bought less expensive brace of similar style that fell apart in 1 season. So spent a bit more money and bought this McDavid at the beginning of a new season. It was recommended that she use the lace up style and cross over straps and these appeared to fit what she needed. This brace works very well, fits snug and gives support. The fabric in the boot is durable, which was the flaw in the previous brace. We are in the middle of summer ball and it is still in great shape. Would highly recommend.

I have worn these when needed for about 10 years. They can take some time to put on (and off), but the stability after putting it on is so worth it. One downside is you can't wear it with every shoe. However, I love you can adjust the laces and straps to your liking. I have tried a couple different ones but this one is the one I like the best. It is lightweight and sturdy making it easy to bring around with me.

I’ve got pretty bad tendentious in my left Achilles so I often have to wear ankle braces on and off. My old brace wasn’t really cutting it so my PT recommend I try something more like this because the design offers a lot more support. This brace has been very comfortable and is the most supportive brace I’ve ever worn. The only thing I’ll say is make sure you wear long socks (should always wear socks with a brace anyways) to buffer it rubbing against your skin directly, and if you have wide feet (legit wide feet) you should consider buying one size up, I always have to buy EEE and W shoes because I have duck feet, short and wide. I’d normally wear an XS for this brace but I ordered a S because of my feet width and I still had to stretch it a bit so it wouldn’t be too constricting. (I have high arches so this is from the PoV of someone with tiny feet and high arches, I can’t say how it fits for bigger feet or flat feet)

I stepped on a pine cone and twisted my ankle to get a 3rd degree sprain about a week ago. I was in a boot but the lack of mobility concerned me as I heal. This brace was recommended to me by an athletic trainer. The fit is true to size (I am a 8-8.5 and I got an XS and it fits just about perfect. It provides the perfect amount of support and keeps my ankle very stable. I feel like I could run, although I know I shouldn't. But I will be able to begin walking this week, which wouldn't be possible if I went without, or wore a boot. I highly recommend this, as it certainly helps keep a wobbly ankle stable so you can exercise. My insurance company will also allow me to send in my invoice and cover it.. an added bonus!

Husband purchased for me I’ve tried 4 braces after a really bad sprain. I wear a 6.5 ladies shoe and have high arches. So far this is THE BEST for reducing mobility. But...it is very painful on the TOP of my foot, corresponding to the highest point of my arch. I wore it for 3 hours, only on my foot for 20 minutes off and on (walking). It left a painful compression mark on the top of my foot. So I had to take it off and put an elastic wrap on it. I’d return it, if I didn’t have it on for 3 hours.

I bought these for my a daughter who plays very competitive AAU basketball. Those games can get pretty rough and her team has been experiencing ankle injuries early in the season some season ending ones as well. After some research, I found that it' recommended that ankle braces be worn as a prevention too so I purchased them to be proactive so she didn't end up like some teammates and out the remainder of her season. They take some getting used to wearing and slightly stretch the shoe out but that is trivial to me if it protects her ankles. She was thankful she had them on in a recent game when someone came down on her ankle during a fight for a rebound. She said it stung for just a few seconds but they kept her ankle from rolling and twisting. Well worth every penny spent. Note: these are sold as singles so you will need to purchase two if you are wanting protection for both ankles.

Me gustó mucho, a pesar de que no tiene varillas te da estabilidad para realizar ejercicio. Compré talla extra chica y me quedó muy bien, mi pie mide 24 cm y es estrecho. La recomiendo.

Vor über einem Jahr zog ich mir eine schwere Verstauchung des rechten Knöchels zu. Mehrere Bänder waren gerissen und die Gelenkkapsel hatte auch etwas abbekommen. Noch heute ist der Knöchel etwas instabil. Ich bin viel mit den Hunden unterwegs und ohne Stütze wird der Knöchel schnell wieder dick und schmerzt. Bislang hatte ich - nach dem Airwalker zu Beginn - einige Orthesen. Sie erfüllten alle ihren Zweck. Einige trugen allerdings so stark auf, dass ich rechts einen größeren Schuh brauchte. Und bei allen war nach wenigen Monaten leider das Problem, dass die oft recht schmalen Klettverschlüsse nicht mehr hielten und die ganze Orthese unbrauchbar wurde. Heute ging es zum ersten Mal mit der neuen Bandage los. Zunächst das Anlegen: Das liest sich in der Beschreibung komplizierter als es ist. Ich hätte es auch ohne Beschreibung nicht anders gemacht und brauchte eigentlich nur die Information, dass man beim rechten Fuß von links her anfangen muss. Von innen her eben. Das Ausziehen ist etwas mühsamer, geht aber auch. Ich bekomme schnell Druckstellen und Blasen. Da die zwei Bänder, die man um den Fuß wickelt, nicht flexibel sind, befürchtete ich hier entsprechendes Malheur. Ging aber super. Keine Blasen oder Druckstellen. Natürlich trägt auch diese Bandage etwas auf. Ich brauchte aber keinen größeren Schuh. Turnschuhe, Halbschuhe und Wanderschuhe sind kein Problem. Auch diese Bandage arbeitet zum Teil mit Klettverschlüssen. Diese sind aber richtig groß (lang und breit). Daher gehe ich im Moment mal davon aus, dass die etwas länger halten werden. Bislang hatte ich immer auf deutlich teurere Bandagen zurückgegriffen. Muss aber nicht sein. Das ist jedenfalls mein Fazit nach dem heutigen ersten Test.
