This product has improved not only my dog's coat but her skin as well. I just received my second order two days ago. This product is awesome. I have an eight year old, black and white, Shih Tzu who has had skin problems since she was little. Since using this product her coat has improvedlike you wouldn't believe -- her black coloring is all nice and shiny and, most of all, her fur is healthy looking But even better, her skin issues have dramatically improved. I have to smile because she actually likes the taste -- I put it on her food. The pump dispenser makes it super easy to use. You need to give it at least a week or two to see improvement. This product beats anything I got from my vet. If your dog is suffering from skin/coat problems it really is worth a try. Follow the directions and hopefully you will have the same results as I have had. I will continue to reorder.

I typically don't take the time to write reviews about products although I always read them before buying anything new, but I felt the need to do so for this product. First of all, I would like to say that I have been impressed by the company itself. Before I got the product they sent me an e-mail giving me helpful hints about how to best use their product. To me, this shows how much they value their customers. Then they asked me to review their product, which I did. Then they not only thanked me but clearly read it as they made a comment about what I had written. So when they asked me to do this separate review so that more people could read it, I did not even hesitate. Great job Maxxi Dog! The product itself it great. I have been using it for about 6 days and have already noticed a huge difference in my dog's itching. She is a German Shephard/Husky mix so she suffers from dry skin on occasion. This product is so easy to use and my dog seems to really like it. This is a product that I will continue to use on a daily basis. My daughters even like to help out with feedings now because they think it's fun to squirt her food. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has an itching dog. Oh, and her coat is even silkier than before!

I mainly feed this as a supplement for dry skin during the winter months.I have tried other Salmon oils in the past but always find that after about 3-4 months they lose their effectiveness & my dog starts itching again from the dry skin. During summer the problem goes away as the house is not heated & we are outside more....I THINK that this oil would work IF I could get the dog to take it on a regular basis. At first, she seemed to really like it & would lick it off a plate by itself as she did the other. This lasted for about 2 weeks & by then the dry skin & itching had stopped.THEN came the problem...She is finicky anyway, & won't even eat people food (unless it's pure meat with NOTHING on it). All of a sudden she had it with the Omega oil- wouldn't touch it. I even tried putting it on some chicken that I fixed for dinner- no way. Now the only way I can get her to eat it is if I mix it up with some canned cat food & then it's questionable, but canned cat food is the one thing she can't resist, so it usually works. Strangely, I never had the problem with the other type of Salmon oil, she was always ready to lick it off a plate by itself. SO- IF your dog isn't a picky eater (this is the first one I've ever had like this, usually they'll eat ANYTHING LOL) then I think this is a good quality product, AND I think it works well (at least it did in the first couple of weeks when she'd eat it). In the meantime I've invested in a humidifier which seems to be helping with the dry skin issues- at least for now.

Highly recommend for dogs with chronic skin issues!! My dog has been using it for about 8-9 months now. I have a 4yo rescue dog who is mostly Beagle and German Shepard. She has a lot of chronic issues, and I felt like allergies/itching should be an easy fix. I have spent 1,000s of dollars on vet trips and medications. We tried Benadryl 3 times a day, daily Zyrtec, prescription medications, OTC and prescription shampoos, etc. She was itching herself so much it was causing skin infections and ear infections, which meant more vet trips. Not to mention she was shedding more and her coat was dull and dry. After using this product, I have seen a tremendous difference!! She’s 42lbs and I have 2-3 pumps of oil 1-2x a day in her food. No GI upset. She loves the taste too! Her shedding is now minimal. Her coat is shiny and healthy, I get compliments on her coat regularly now! Itching is very minimal and I have decreased my vet visits for skin issues. Took a few months to see the full effect of the product but definitely worth not having my fur baby itching all the time!!

My dog was taking a fish oil pill but it was making her smell very fishy. She loved the taste of this oil and the fishy smell was gone but the pump needs a little work. First, there isn’t space in the bottle for the pump when you first open it so I was having to measure out the oil with a teaspoon for the first few days which was messy. Second, the straw on the pump doesn’t reach to the bottom of the bottle, so now I am again having to measure it out with a teaspoon because there is still a good amount of oil in the bottle that the pump can’t reach. The pump was one of the main reasons I bought this product so it’s disappointing that the pump is only functional for a limited volume of product.
