A Tale of Two Pretties

Completing the Series
I bought this for myself as I enjoyed this series in my preteens but seemed to grow out of it just before the final three books in the series. I just turned 30 and I have decided to finish out the series on my nostalgia kick. I bought used and it came in on time and they exceeded my expectations of quality. The story line is just as corny as I remembered :)

Words can't describe how much I love this book.
I am not joking when I say that this series could be the one of the best I have ever read. Let me tell you firsthand, that's tough to live up to because I'm a crazed reading fan. When you explain this book to someone, it seems like a book about a couple of means girls, and you shouldn't do what they do, blah blah blah. THIS IS SO NOT TRUE! In her author's note, Lisi Harrison even says that she wrote this to prove that girls who seem popular and beautiful and everything have insecurities, too!If you're reading this, you'll have read the series since this i the last book. For those of you that agree, post a comment that you do.ABOUT THE BOOK: This book has an oh-my-gosh ending. My personal favorite parts are the two last chapters, but for those of you who like to peek, this is not the book to do it. Caution: you might cry. ( i have a friend who sobbed after reading the end, but the epilogue or last chapter or whatever makes you laugh in surprise).Anyway, you know how on the back it says THE CLIQUE: THE ONLY THING HARDER THAN GETTING IN IS STAYING IN? Well, don't read that part because it is a major spoiler, (well, a pretty big one, anyway.)Bye for now! And enjoy the book!-Miss Smiley : )

Goodbye, Girls! :'(
I've been reading the Clique novels for years. I love, love, LOVE these novels and I've grown very attached to each of the main characters. I have to say that the last novel was both well-written and tear-jerking! I love how Massie's attitude changes at the end, showing how mature she's gotten. I love how Lisi ended the series on a good-yet sad-note and left us hanging at the end! I will miss each character - even Layne! lol.

Great Way to End a Great Series
Quote: "It was a lose-lose situation. Choosing one meant sacrificing the other, even though it shouldn't have to. Any sane person would have assured Kristen she could have both: friends at school and soccer on the weekends. But 'any sane person' didn't know Massie Block. Meaning this was one Christmas miracle Kristen was going to have to keep to herself."A Tale of Two Pretties is a realistic fiction novel by Lisi Harrison, and the last of her bestselling series, The Clique. This story is primarily about the relationship of five friends; Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen, and Claire, and how it faces new challenges as the girls deal with newly arisen scheduling conflicts and other factors that threaten to separate their close bond. As the book progresses, the conflicts are slowly resolved, but the biggest one of all is one that no amount of heart-to-heart talks or schedule changes can fully resolve: one of the girls learns that she is moving to another country. This book is aimed for a somewhat narrow age group of 12-15, and is meant to be read by primarily girls; it has a heavy emphasis on sub-plots dealing with issues pre-teens and early teens go through regularly. I really enjoyed this book because of its constant humor, relatable nature, and interesting plot twists. It thoroughly intrigued me to see how the author was able to tie the series together, and I liked the fact that she left the ending up to the reader's imagination to envision what happened to the characters after the book came to its close.

Thank you lisi Harrison for creating a series that not only tawt me about how cliques work but how much a long friendship meant to them.this was the perfect ending. Massie did what had tobe done her and the Pc had to start going their seperate ways.at the end of the book I was crying and was shocked by the way the series ended.its been a long run and I do think it was time.I also think Hermia was a good touch and she was right about everything from the first new years Yves party to the second.I won't ever forget this series it changed me .please continue to make more books . shallow much?
When I was 10 I LOVED this series.and a couple of days ago, I decided to read the final one again. Well, I was GREATLY disappointed. I liked these books because they talked about fashion a lot,and didn't mind the shallowness. But after reading them when you are older, its like "whoa, I actually LIKED this?" The author says it is to create awerness to bullying, and to stop it but really, I think, its egging girls on! If you are younger, and have a good head on your shoulders, I would read the series if you like fashion. But I definitley WOULDNT if you are anyone else.
