The star of HGTV’s Flip or Flop Christina Anstead partners with celebrity nutritionist Cara Clark to help women remodel their lives—in mind, body and spirit. Christina Anstead, star of HGTV’s Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast , is known for her boundless energy, positive attitude, and radiant looks. But what was hidden from fans of her popular television shows was a very real health crisis, including a diagnosis of autoimmune disease, infertility, and the emotional and physical exhaustion of going through a divorce with two young children—all in the public eye. The stress of managing it all wreaked even more havoc on her already strained body. It wasn’t until Christina met nutritionist Cara Clark that she discovered a path that allowed her to regain her health and heal in body and mind. In The Wellness Remodel , Christina chronicles her health journey and shares what she’s learned about the importance of creating balance and prioritizing physical and mental self-care. Divided into three parts—”Gut Rehab” (food and nutrition); “Building a Strong Foundation” (exercise); and “The Rewire” (mindfulness)—the book will be an accessible guide to full-body wellness, offering simple strategies anyone can put into action for immediate results. Christina and Cara will also share their simple cooking strategies built for the real world of working parents and busy weeknights, including sixty of their favorite recipes, complete with beautiful photos and easy-to-follow instructions. Inspiring, informative, fun, and empowering, The Wellness Remodel will give readers everything they need to nourish the body, keep it strong, and help their spirit flourish. Review: Life Changing!! - I have been a member of Cara Clark Nutrition for 4 years now, and she has totally remade our lives, my husband and mine. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable until this book. I actually became a certified health coach because of Cara’s influence on my life. This book is amazing! I have been a huge fan of Christina since the first episode of Flip or Flop, so it was fascinating to get to hear about her struggles first hand. I actually found many parallels between her health struggles and my own. This book really breaks down complicated information and curates it into language that anyone can understand. Very readable and relatable. The recipes are invaluable! So delicious! Since I started reading this book my husband has lost 25 pounds in 2 months!! No joke! I would recommend this book and Cara Clark Nutrition to anyone, regardless of health goals. I use her recipes and philosophy daily with my health coaching clients, and love everything about The Wellness Remodel!! Review: Wellness for real life - Let me be honest, I’m a mom of 3, a wife and work often more than full time. While I know that nutrition is the foundation of good health, taking care of myself is hard to prioritize when so many other things need my full attention. Enter the Wellness Remodel. I love that this book emphasizes the importance of taking care of yourself while breaking down ways to do so physically, mentally and spiritually. It’s a reminder that you can’t fill from an empty cup and offers easy to incorporate ideas on how to not only make time for yourself but to make the most of that time. Cara’s nutritional philosophy is easy to follow and even more importantly, it works! When you eat to fuel your body instead of living in a restrictive mindset the changes are amazing: less brain fog, more energy, clearer skin (good bye cystic acne!) restful sleep, clothes fit better and you just feel good. I had forgotten what that was like. Like Christina, I spent my 20’s really not feeling well and unknowingly battling my body thinking I was being “healthy”. Following the CCN way really has changed not only my life, but my family’s as well. The book itself is well written and easy to read. I felt like I was hanging out with friends sharing their tips and guidance instead of trying to pay attention to Nutrition 101. Wherever you are at in life in your life, whether you are mom, a student, a CEO, an athlete, this book can work for you. There are no gimmicks here, this is real moms sharing real food and real tips on how to start feeling your best. Highly recommend!

Fun Recipes, Tips + Photos to Reboot Your Mind + Body. Inspiring Staging Book for Kitchen Counter
Fun recipes, tips and photos to reboot your life, heal your mind, spirit and body. I was so thrilled for my favorite HGTV star Christina Anstead’s highly-anticipated debut book co-authored with her Nutritionist friend Cara Clark. So I bought five copies on Amazon before it was available. I keep one for staging homes (beautiful front cover), one perched on my kitchen counter, and for gifts. My faves are her gut-friendly anti inflammatory tips. + 14-Day Reset Meal Plan. Ie, Raw fermented cabbage is now a staple in my diet; I now feel the positive benefits. My fave recipes are: Fermented Cucumber Salad; Satay Lettuce Wraps; Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats; Baked Oatmeal Bars and Peanut Butter Chia Chocolate Chip Muffins. Helpful grocery lists, easy recipes, pantry staple must-haves, some meditation/work-out moves, some of the authors’ personal photos applicable to their lifestyles and topics. Perching it on the kitchen counter is inspirational and a constant reminder to eat healthy. #HGTV #Fliporflop #christinaanstead #christinaonthecoast #gutfriendly

A good read with some helpful ideas and some tasty healthy recipes
I have enjoyed making many of the recipes from this book. I used some of them as written, but I used others as an idea to tweak and make my own. I was looking for some healthy snacks and meals to fit a bariatric life style and some of the author’s meals fit that with some modification.

Well rounded guide to being the best you!
I'm only halfway through the book and haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but I am already impressed! If you really read through from start to finish, this book is about so much more than a simple "diet" or exercise plan. This is a comprehensive guide to becoming the best you. One that focuses on all the many facets of our lives. I appreciate that Cara is a nutritionist, this gives credibility to the nutritional guidance she is recommending and I love that there is still a sensitivity that every body is different and to give yourself grace. I found some of the tips on changing perspective reminded me of the Dalai Lama (I know, sounds crazy), but I am also currently reading The Book of Joy. One of the things that the Dalai Lama talks about with regard to stressful situations is thinking about the other person and when you find yourself feeling frustrated, think instead about how the other person may be going through something difficult and when you take the focus away from yourself, you have more compassion and it becomes easier to empathize with others. It was interesting to find a somewhat similar idea here on shifting the way you look at situations to help alleviate stress. So far, I am truly enjoying the book. I am going to send one to my friend that I think will really enjoy it too!

Delicious and doable healthy eating that moves the needle on pretty much everything
Yes, you will need to stock up on groceries and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, but after delaying my reset for two weeks because I didn't want to go to the store and deal with all that, I went on Instacart and had everything I needed within two hours. While some favorite recipes stand out as things I truly want to eat every day (strawberry tossed salad, blueberry oat bars, chicken zucchini burgers, pineapple stir fry) I have not cooked a single recipe that I didn't enjoy eating. AND--all you starving dieters out there--this reset has you eating ALL THE TIME, and no tiny, unfulfilling portions either, yet I lost weight and inches and overall feel great. The recipes are so good that I didn't stop after the two-week reset. This is my go-to cookbook now. I love prepping food on the weekend that I can eat all week long. The toughest decision is which incredible meal to eat next, and I'm always surprised at "what? I get to eat something delicious AGAIN?" every 3-4 hours. I honestly have to set a timer to remind myself to eat, because I don't even have to wait until I get hungry.

Easy to follow
Amazing read! Very motivating!! Eating for energy has been life changing for me and my family. I have been following Cara Clark Nutrition for a long time now. I followed so many Fad diets my whole life I really messed up my metabolism and this has really helped me stop my weight gain. I see other reviews talk about 800 dollar a week grocery bills and If you want to try every single meal then yes it can be expensive for 1 week BUT these are just suggestions so everyone can chose what they want to do and see different options. I usually choose 1 smoothie and freeze, 1 snack for the week, 1 lunch for the week, and a few dinners. This is affordable and makes most sense for my family. We end up eating out less too which saves money. These are simple meal plans for the everyday busy person but I suggest you follow their advice and meal prep. I can’t tell you how much time I have saved during my week by prepping once a week. Do it. You won’t be sorry! Can’t wait for book number 2!!!

Well written book but be prepared to spend $800 for the 14 Day Detox
So this book is well written for the most part, and provides great guidance and sound advice. Two issues though: 1) the shopping list is so disorganized. There are things on the list you don’t need and things in the recipes not on the list. 2) this is not a budget friendly detox plan. I get that good food costs $, I’m not a terrible eater most times and our grocery bill is typically $400-$500 a month. For ONE week of food, you’re going to be dropping approximately $400 for two people. And this is assuming you’ve got a decent pantry stash and you have to purchase all the produce and nuts fresh, etc. My jaw literally hit the floor. I couldn’t believe this, so I literally went through the first week, wrote down all the ingredients and quantities needed, then did online shopping for my local grocer. So I invested hours into this to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. And with my own grocery list it added up to just over $400. Atrocious! So needless to say, I won’t be doing the detox or will do a way paired down version which I’m bummed about because I was looking forward to it. But I’m definitely going to incorporate some of these recipes into rotation to help cut back the junk eating we do do occasionally.

Easy, Earnest, Practical Read!
I love this type of healthy feeding of body, mind, and soul. I have tried several recipes in Christina's book - they have all turned out delicjously. I consult with this book everyday (it is my coffee table go-to-book) for positive vibes and excellent tips on feeding and looking after myself. I follow Christina on her HGTV show - she is an Spirit sent inspiration! Blessings to her and her friend Cara for the good work they are doing in educating their families and their readers about "good living"! So grateful!

Inspirant, bienveillant...
