Worked for what I needed

10mm , not 3/8
these are quality and threads are good. only complaint is that they are marketed as 3/8th when the nut is actually a 10mm. not a huge deal, but something to be aware of. a 3/8 wrench does not fit. use the 10mm

Master mechanic
I got a flare from the big brand guys and it was the worst I flared it 3 times, fluid everywhere, frustration everywhere. I turned to my trusty Amazon app for a solution and dare I say I found one. These puppies worked without a hiccup and my 1998 Tacoma is now road worthy once again. These are great and the value is amazing + They give you more than enough to do the job I balmed my flaring tool but it was the fitting the whole time and that's frustrating A man begins to question his journey as his flares fail only to look up and see your wife's face as you tell her to stop pressing the brake pedal Because you can't tell her but you failed As a man But no It was just a bad fitting and now I'm back on top You too can be on top as well And let me tell ya It feels good

Everything in the box is wrong dimensions. Using wrong brake parts can be dangerous.
Item ordered was advertised as 3/8-24 thread fittings for use with 3/16" tubing. These are also the dimensions stated on the box received. The fittings received are actually 10mm x1.0mm thread for 1/4" tubing. Since the description on the box does not match the contents of box, reordering is hopeless. Unfortunately, 3/8-24 and 10mm x 1.0mm are so similar, you can't tell what type a fitting is without measuring it or connecting it to another known fitting. I should have noticed that a vendor that says in "Technical Details" the thread is both straight and tapered (NPT) is not giving good information. Thread Type - National Pipe Taper Thread Style - Straight, Male Why aren't more complaining? Even though all the parts in the box are not the correct size to be compatible with existing parts of the size stated, the new parts in the box are still compatible with each other. I suspect many people may have used these to patch a line and did not realize they were the wrong size. If they only connected new fittings to each other and didn't connect these to existing fittings on a car they might not realize the difference. Another difference between metric and SAE fittings: Metric fittings are typically used with a bubble flare and the SAE fittings are typically used with inverted flares. How the tubing is flared should be different. Since these were metric fittings that the manufacturer said were 3/8-24 (an SAE description), other specs such as the flare type come into question. Warning: Since the manufacturer is supplying fittings for 1/4" tubing people could be wrongly using fittings for 1/4" tubing with 3/16" tubing. In that case tubing flare would not be properly held closely in the center of the fitting. This could be dangerous. Note, you can find both metric and SAE threads on the same vehicle. People should research and understand all the fine points of the brake line and connections before working on them. It turned out to be more complicated than I first expected.

Quality fittings
They are heavy and solidly build but most importantly they seal well and they don't leak. I will buy them again.

Great fittings for repairing burst brake lines
Had a burst brake line on my jeep. Diagnosed it and found an area where the rubber coating was worn away and the line rusted. Originally wanted to replace the whole line but tried a temporary fix using these fittings to splice in a good chunk of new line. Long story short the repair is good and holds pressure without leaks (in fact it held for over a year). These fittings work great when tightened down well. They are very easy to pair with nickel/copper lines. They need to be cranked on a bit when working with steel lines. While in the future I will be redoing the whole brake line in nickel/copper these fittings really saved me and allowed me to get the car back on the road safely for a short period of time. So I can definitely recommend these.

Brake Line Fittings
They were adequate for the repair I was doing, was careful not to over tighten and so far don't seem to have an issue with the fittings.
