Good Battery
The battery life was good. Much better than the one I replaced. Be careful about charging it. Don't let it go below 10% before charging and remove it immediately when it reaches 100%. Anything close to the top is good. Leaving it charging when it's full is bad.

Replacement was successful and a bit quicker than I expected
Battery was replaced with only tools provided and using my own tweezers and heat gun. I am pretty slow and cautious with this sort of thing, but it only took about 20-30 minutes to replace. At the time of this review I still have not reinstalled the back of the phone while I cycle the battery a couple of times. When installed and first powered on, the battery was at 50% charge. Ran it down to 10% and currently recharging for the first time. I intend to repeat this one more time. It took several hours to discharge the battery to 10% from 50% with the phone playing Youtube content so the screen would stay on and drain the battery quicker. Of slight concern is the fact that the battery shows 98% charged after only less than two hours of charging and it is not fast charging. Seems kinda quick but this is my wife's phone and I am not real familiar with the normal recharge time. We will see if that is a bad sign or not. When purchased the stated package contents were: 1 x Pentalobe Screwdriver 1 x Triangle Opening Pick 1 x Set of Adhesive Strips 1 x Cross Screwdriver 1 x Metal Spudger 1 x Metal Tweezer 1 x Suction Cup 1 x Ejection Pin 1 x After-Sale Card 1 x Instructions My spudger was not metal, it was blue plastic and worked fine. There was no tweezers at all, metal or otherwise. Tweezers aren't really needed if you have fingernails. I only used my own tweezers since my fingernails are very short just to remove the screws once they are unscrewed using the screwdriver. The pentalobe screwdriver is the screwdriver handle that accepts hex bits, I assume. My kit had two bits, a flat and Phillips bit. See pictures of my kit contents. One word of advice. When removing the front (not the back) by prying up along the sides, it is best if you don't pry at the bottom and top of the phone (the chin and forehead) where the home button and speaker are located. That colored part (blue on my phone which is blue) is paint or metal film or something on the back of the front glass and is very easily scratched while prying. Best to avoid prying in this area if possible and you care about the looks afterward. The video that they provide a QR code for in the kit does mention this if you watch and listen. So far it looks like this repair will be a success as long as the battery continues to do its job past the first couple of charges and has resurrected this phone from being totally useless to fully functional. I will update the review in the future if the battery ends up having any issues.

Good to have the tools available
You will most likely break the rear glass during removal so order the replacement glass with adhesive when you order the battery and tools. Don't forget to remove the sim card holder before trying to loosen the glass. Can't say anything about battery life yet since I just replaced it today. Not a difficult job, just be careful about the circuit ribbons if you get the case too hot. You might melt the adhesive for those so be careful you don't pull them out during disassembly and cleanup.

Battery Life ONLY 1yr.
Battery lasted almost 1yr. Now it discharges rapidly after charging. From almost 36 hrs of Normal use when new, to less than 4hr Normal use 1yr later. Original Samsung battery lasted approx 5yrs. Very poor build quality.

At this point, among the best of the battery replacements
My S6 began acting strangely, with the battery occasionally getting hot in my pocket even though it wasn't in use, and then a couple of days ago I noticed that the glass back had separated from the metal frame by about 1mm on one side, an indication the battery inside was beginning to swell. Didn't crack the glass, fortunately. To be perfectly honest, out of all the batteries available on Amazon, I narrowed my search criteria to two points: (1) reasonably large number of reviews and overall number of positives, and (2) immediate delivery. This vendor seemed to be proud of selling a high-quality battery that was good for many recharge cycles. AND I could get the battery delivered in 24 hours with Prime! So I got it today and it took about 30 minutes to install. You don't need a "heat gun," just a regular hair dryer on the high setting will get hot enough. You want to heat the rear glass edges hot enough to be too hot to touch, then work the edges with the guitar pick. This was easy for me since one edge had already pulled away. Then take out the millions of screws (well, not really, but a lot, and I missed a couple under the adhesive at first). New battery went in easily and was clearly flatter than the old swelling one. Phone now works great; I will update this if I'm less than 100% satisfied over the next few weeks. But so far, it looks like this is the battery to get, if not an OEM Samsung battery.

Not overly impressed with the new battery.
It does function, and is marginally, (at best) improvement from the original 2250mAh from 2015. The break-in details were followed meticulously, fully charging and discharging 5 times. This is a very light use 'work phone' minimal apps installed and almost nothing running in the background. Screen brightness <50%, bluetooth-Off, wi-fi-On, power saving mode-set to MID. With the original 7 year old 2250mAh battery, could get through the day on a full charge. With the new 3800 mAh, maybe a day and a half. Functional? Yes, but again, unimpressive... With the tools provided, you cannot replace the battery, I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. The suction cup on a key ring, the harder you have to pull, the harder you have to squeeze the phone to hold it essentially holding it together. The 'guitar pick' is just too thick to slip under the glass to begin the separation. Instructions come with links to videos for your specific model phone and even they do not use the tools provided in the demo. Highly recommend the hand clamp/suction cup tool, and a thin steel 'opening tool' optionally a set of clamps to reseal when done. Despite the 'About this Item' details, you cannot "Bring your Samsung S6's battery life back to glory and; get from 0% to 100% power in a matter of seconds by simply swapping batteries"

My old phone has a new life.
I desperately needed a new battery for my Samsung Galaxy S6. My phone dropped calls repeatedly. It over heated continuosly. It became hot so often that the back came unglued. I bought the best battery that I could find given the reviews and specs. I changed the battery while watching a YouTube video. I was nervous and had watched a video prior to receiving the new battery. Dissassembly went smoothly as the back was already unglued. I drained the battery completely once and will do that a few more times to set the battery. My old phone has been given a new life. It was recommended to drain the battery to 20% prior to Disassembly for safety reasons. I am very happy to have a strong phone. I am looking forward to using it this Summer. Using GPS was difficult with the failing battery as my phone would die on me. I wish I had changed the battery a long time ago.
