The Love Letter - Gold Crown Collector's Edition

This s one of my favorite movies! It is a combination of love, fantasy and a little time travel. Greatly underrated movie with great actors and a truly wonderful story!

Love this video. Great love story with some mystery. I've watched it many times.

Everything turned out the way it should

I love the Hallmark Channel movie "The Love Letter". It is a really romantic movie that is totally unique in that although "time travel" romances have been done in the past, this movie shows a number of truly memorable scene(s) when Scott visits Lizzie's house in the present and Lizzie can actually in the vernacular feel his very presence in the past and he her. The most poignant scene to me is when Scott walks into Lizzie's bedroom and he can literally feel her and she him; Scott massages and caresess Lizzie's neck when previously they had "been doomed to never touch". Prior to this memorable scene there had been an incident when the two felt each other's presence on the staircase but they never touched in this instance, instead it was just a heightened awareness of the other person's presence on the empty stairwell. Goose bumps, people."The Love Letter" has one if those truly great climaxes' that linger long after the credit roll. As a matter of fact, this is foreshadowed when Lizzie is being romanced' in the past and she feels very drawn to him like she is drawn closer to Scott - two heart separated by time but one and the same is the best way to describe it. The climax scene - I have literally skipped to this climax scene I previously mentioned in my DVD and just played this magical, romantic scene. It is the scene when Scott visits Lizzie's grave in the present and reads the gravestone which says, "I never forgot" - a message from Lizzie from beyond the grave no less. As Scott is crying and bereft he is playfully ambushed by a friendly dog and the dog's lovely owner who exclaims "He must really like you, he doesn't usually jump on strangers..." than she pushed her hair off her face and WOW..OMG...you have to see it to believe it. Two hearts one soul...I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes otherworldly love stories and stories that suspend preconceived reality. I love this movie - unique and enchanting. Highly recommend.

It usually takes me a little bit of time before I write a review. But, I did not want to wait this time around. I can honestly see why this film has been added to the already amazing cannon of Hallmark Hall of Fame Gold Crown Collector's Edition movies. This film has a little bit of everything for the ladies, men, the romantics, and sci-fi enthusiasts. The movie had me captivated from beginning to end and you know that is true when you catch yourself gasping and sometimes you are unable to stay still in your seat. Campbell Scott and Jennifer Jason Leigh brought so much authenticity to their roles then again they both come from good stock of Hollywood legends. A little bit of the theme reminded me of the film of "Somewhere in Time" which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. I do not want to give away too much of the plot if I have not already but I must forewarn you that you should have some hankies near at hand when watching this film. I highly recommend this little masterpiece!

I watched this movie when it was first on tv and enjoyed it then and I enjoy it today. I would recommend this dvd to anyone who enjoys this type of love story.

A gift for someone ..thought it was the movie they was looking for but wasn't .. But at the end they like it and kept it after all

I watched this movie on tv in the 1990s. Video taped it and watch it dozen of times til the tape wore out. Love this movie. Know it by heart. True love between two people...he who lives in modern day.... She who lives 100 years ago. Came together and fell in love via letters. Oh my heart ❤️❤️

Loved the film but warning - can’t be played on normal CD player as comes from America so wrong zone- played it on computer.
