xFitness Hand Grippers - The Best Grip Strength Straining Tool You Ever Need 2.0 Version, Redefined Ergonomic Knurling & Brand New Packaging   Why Good Grip Strength is SO Important If your grip and forearm muscles are not conditioned with mobility, strength and endurance, then the result winds up being the frustrating chronic repetitive motion injuries that plague both office workers and athletes alike. For example, without adequate grip and forearm strength, tennis players develop tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), which is debilitating and disabling pain on the outside of the elbow. Golfers, climbers, CrossFitters and obstacle racers who don’t have adequate grip and forearm training often develop the opposite issue, a problem known as golfers elbow, climbers elbow and medial epicondylitis, which is basically pain anywhere on the inside of the elbow and forearm. People who work on a computer often get one or both of these same issues.  Product Highlights: Solid Aluminum Handles with Redefined Ergonomic Knurling Design for a Non-Slip Grip yet Super Comfortable to Hold. Rust-Proof Coated Spring in 7 Different Resistance Level, From 50lbs to 350lbs for All Levels of Users. Impressive
I bought the 100# model because I noticed that my grip is not what it used to be and I wanted better. I'm 66 and I'm not trying go break rocks with my hands, I just wanted some increased strength. I can do 3 reps of 25 and just about get through it. If you have a strong grip, you probably want to go with the 150 or higher. I did notice squeaking and shot a little WD-40 on it. No more squeaks.

This is a very well made item. Be careful ...
This is a very well made item. Be careful of the strength when you are ordering though. I have been mistaken for a gorilla before and I ordered the 200lb. model and can only get it fully closed for one rep. I am going to order the 100 pound model because I wanted to do more repetitions. The handles are knurled and I believe this item was manufactured with professional weight lifters and bodybuilders in mind. I can't believe you can order a model of this item that goes up to 350 lbs. to close it! I would definitely not mess with anyone who had that kind of power. All in All...a high quality item.

honest in-depth review by an experienced hand strength trainer
Ok let me start by saying if money is no object then get the “captains of crush” NOTHING compares to them. And a side note per my surgeon who put my bicep back on the bone after I ripped it off the average man has 110 lbs of crushing pressure in his handI own the captains of crush #2 (195lbs) #2.5 (237.5 lbs) and #3 (280 lbs) and have closed all threeI bought the 150 200 and 250 from this company because I wanted spare one for work or travel and didn’t want to pay the money for the COC againThe 150 I can close so easy I can play music with it the 200 is a good squeeze but not that bad and the 250 is difficult but I can do it NOW keep in mind that I haven’t trained hands in a few years and I can barely close the captains of crush #2 195lbs now .....but .... I can close this brands 250 lb oneSo there you have it if your not wanting to set official records ( which you can with captains of crush #3 and higher and your not concerned with using official calibrated weight but rather just want stronger hands then these will do nicely just keep in mind that when you close it you are in reality probably closing the next one down in weightPs I’ve used captains of crush , heavy grips, a gnc brand, and now these and they are on par with all but COC and much more affordable

Once you can do it easily move up to the next one
One handle fell off right out of the package. It doesn't affect it's use but I have to be careful when holding it (not using it) so I only took 2 stars off for that. I'm a large guy (over 200lbs) that does forearm workouts. I started with the 200lbs gripper and think that was about right. Make sure you get one that you can close all the way at least a few times so you can strengthen your full range of motion. Once you can do it easily move up to the next one. I'll probably move up to the 250lbs gripper in 2-3 weeks.

Get some man hands!
This is a really nice unit. I got the 150lb in blue. It's really nice looking, and the texture on the handles is pretty rough which is actually good I think. I only deduct one star because the day I got it, one of the handles came loose so it would rotate on the spring. It was still usable like that, but a little trickier. I just put some super glue on the spring end and stuffed it back in the handle. Seems good as new again. As far as grip strength, I've had it a little over a week now and it's getting noticeably easier to compress. I keep it at my desk here at work and just do a few little sets while I'm on phone calls or otherwise not busy with my hands.

A stupid simple device that actually works.
I really thought that this wouldn't work, but I bought it anyway. I was definitely wrong. After just a week of using these daily, I've tripled the amount of reps I can do. I could barely, BARELY get 8 when I got the out of the box, now I can get 30 on both hands. The most important result of these however is that they are evening out my grip strengths between my hands. I am right handed so my left hand has always been a little weaker, but I can notice my grip strength in the gym getting evened out (very noticeable during deadlifts and pull-ups).Be careful though, because, as a few other reviewers have pointed out, if you over do it with these you can injure yourself. If you have never seriously worked out your forearms and then go ham on these suckers one day, be prepared to take some time off from the gym. Pace yourself.I use these 4-5 days a week, typically with rest days before "pull days" at the gym (dead lifts, pull-ups)I will be buying the 150lb after I can get 50 reps in a set on the 100lb

good exercise grip, would be better with some handle cover
I bought the 150 lb version of this grip exerciser a few weeks ago, I was using a 22-70lb plastic version which it too easy now( Hand Grip Strengthener - Quickly Increase Hand Wrist Finger Forearm Strength With The Best Hand Exerciser - Easy Adjustable Resistance From 22 to 70 Lbs (10-32 Kg) - Perfect for Musicians Athletes and Hand Rehabilitation Exercising ). This metal hand gripper was a bit of a challenge to use at first, one of my fingers got a blister from repeated use, had to stop using it a bit to heal. In the meantime I bought a heaver version (different brand) that came with sponge covers over the handles and so I used one of those so my fingers don't blister again.Overall a good product, would've been better if it came with some cover for the grip, but that's just me. After a few weeks of use, I feel like I can move on to the heavier version.

A Well-Built Product At A Great Price.
Excellent!!! Very well built and should last a long time. I started out with the model that has 100 lb of resistance which was perfect for me. I will be buying other sizes over time. The grip has both pros and cons. The design prevents it from slipping out of your hands if they are sweaty and that is a good thing, but the very aspect of the design that makes that possible also has caused chafing of the skin in my hands with just two days of use. This will eventually lead to the build up of callouses in certain areas of the hands which, depending on your perspective is either a good or bad thing.I am currently trying to come up with ideas to cushion the grips to avoid some of this. Still though, out of all the different hand exercisers of this type that I have ever owned this one is by far the best.I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Look no further
Exactly what you purchased. Simple as that. 5/5For people who've never used these before, it's not a simple "Oh I'll just do this all the time and get my forearm super strong". It's not that easy. Have to consider the metal gratings on it causing calluses on your fingers, the shape of it requiring most of the pressure from pinky&ring fingers, the repetitions it needs for it to be of any use. There's easier plastic/rubber options for more sensitive users. But hey, if you want an indestructible product that gives you the most bang for your buck, this is it.Happy shopping.
