Why aren't these rated 4.9?? Crystal clear, bright optics, sturdy, well-made, great eye-relief
Not sure why these aren't rated higher. I had a phenom pair of Vortex 10x32 in hand and thought "At < $500 this is the best pair all around, but they only cost < $200. Vortex is KING!" Then I put these bad boys on my eyes and I was amazed: such a larger viewing angle; Bright, clear, color-true optics!! Eye relief was even better than the Vortex, which surprised me bc I felt that was the second biggest virtue of the Vortex binoculars. Comfortable on my eyes for a long period of time, and I simply stared at leaves, noting some of them had black marks I never noticed before; Also, some leaves had variant or gradient colors, which I did not notice on the Vortex (INITIALLY). Strangely, after seeing more clearly with the Zeiss I put back on the Vortez. I could see the same thing with the Vortex, but *only after I saw it on the Zeiss. The Zeiss are bright, clear, easy to use, comfortable, easy to adjust, fun-- and hear me-- the Vortex are the KILLER APP for < $350; however, they are NO LONGER the killer app for < $500. That crown now belongs to Zeiss!! You did it, Ms. Zeiss! You won the < $500 binocular sweepstakes 😊

Great glass!
Great glass. Wanted something other than my Vortex Talons for around the farm. Very clear and fit all my hunting and viewing needs. Highly recommended for the money.

Great Glass for a Great Price
As an amateur bird photographer who takes about 2,000 photos each month, I have been wanting some binoculars to be able to see things better. (This is because I don’t wear my glasses when I take photos due to the optical view finder.) For photography, I have a set of rather expensive super telephoto lenses. And I admit this review is being written in the early days of owning these binoculars, but I am absolutely blown away by these. The separation in terms of depth of field is nothing short of magnificent. I realize there is no shortage of people who are unhappy with Zeiss for making binoculars in China. Do not listen to them. I have already sunk a good bit of money on my camera lenses, so I was not looking to spend $1,000 or more on binoculars. For me, the price point is perfect, and the quality is stellar. I just spent three hours at the local wildlife refuge, and I feel like a kid again. For someone in his mid 60s, that’s pure joy. I’m sure there are several other comparable options in the world of sub-$500 binoculars, so I can only comment on these. But I love them.

Perfect for bird watching !
I have been attracted lately to the hobby of bird watching or birding as they call it. I was looking for a mid- level pair of binoculars as an upgrade to my cheap but surprisingly satisfying entry level Lululo binoculars, for which I made a product review a few days ago. When this pair came, I was not disappointed- the optics were to my liking- wide field of view , and crystal- clear; the size was perfect for my grip and quite light and portable ; and the price was appropriate for a brand touting to be of the Zeiss family. It came with a very beautiful protective hard case and over- the - top harness strap. This is a keeper and I would probably not replace it with the heavier, costlier ones I was initially tempted to buy. I will definitely recommend this as a mid level pair of binoculars that would easily fit your budget.

Well rounded.
Yes, these are the best I now own. Very nice. Clear. Very sharp. Zeiss makes these very nice. I agree with a previous owner that the neck strap should be able to fit in the case but I use them without most of the time. Not a big deal.

More clarity and light thru the lenses, and much lighter than more expensive models
We gave these as a holiday gift to someone who is an avid bird & wildlife watcher. As luck would have it, they also got a MUCH (3-4x) more expensive pair of binoculars (different brand) at the same time. After trying out both pairs of binoculars, they liked these Zeiss models better - more clarity and light thru the lenses, and much lighter and more comfortable to carry than the other ones they received.

Ottimo
Bel binocolo e molto robusto. Lo uso in montagna per osservazione e devo dire che mi sta dando soddisfazioni. Forse qualche piccola aberrazione cromatica ai nordi, ma nulla di che (tendenzialmente sibosserva verso il centro del campo visivo)

Exceeded my expectation
This wasn’t even on my list for consideration. Bushnell and Vortex are the first brands to my mind - unfortunately the local selection is rather limited for Bushnell, and none for Vortex. As I wasn’t sure I’d get it right the first time, it simply wasn’t viable to buy something from Amazon US. Then I tried a friend’s Nikon Monarch 7 - while the optical quality is impressive, I felt it is let down by the quality of the accessories. On the other hand, I thought the Prostaff 7 represents a much better value, so that was what I first got. When I received the unit, I found the optics though still respectable, is quite a bit off the Monarch’s; the objective lens covers are jokes like many people have pointed out - spending another $30 on a pair of decent Vortex caps is a REAL consideration, again from Amazon US. After nearly a month of hesitation, I decided to return it. Then as I continue to browse the selection, I came across the ZEISS. I was quite surprised by the price tag as I know glasses of the Big 3 go in the north of $1000. Oh, well. I said to myself, no harm to try. When I received the unit, I was blown away, especially comparing to the Prostaff 7 - they feel like products from a different world. - objective lens caps are attached to the body, yeah! - the hard case is a world above that of Nikon in both quality and design; - it comes with just a simple diagrammed quick use guide, compared to 3 thick heavy booklets of Nikon that i have no use of; - the package is properly sealed, while the Prostaff is not; - inside the package, there is a beautiful scenery photo, making you wanting to use the binoculars straight away; the Nikon only has a photo of the Nikon. Above all, it just feels every bit like a real ZEISS, not just some cheap OEM that so many brands do for their low end stuff. Of course, it’s not perfect. CA is quite noticeable, but this is not a camera, so it’s nothing major to me; it’s made in China, but so do iPhones and millions of other premium stuff nowadays. I feel ZEISS, a company renowned for its quality (and high price tag), has done a fantastic job of coming up with an entry-level killer, which in my option is unbeatable in value. Highly recommended!
