After being an ardent fan of Monkey Lights for years - I have to admit that I had low expectations for this product (had the Monkey lights version of this been more reasonably priced - I wouldn't have considered this purchase).Getting past the inconvenience of not having an English instruction manual, and the irritation that the one video provided by the company is a rather odd CGI version of a how to assemble video (would it be so hard to film a human being putting this thing together and posting on youtube?)That being said, the installation was fairly straight forward, the mechanisms to attach the arms to the spokes allows for a good deal of configuring and once set, the construction is solid. The battery charges via micro USB and on average I get over 3 hours of light from each charge. I've ridden through rain, snow and a fair number of puddles, and thus far the device seems water resistant.The light is bright, I have the iPhone app and its fairly easy to download new images to the wheel on the fly, additional images can be downloaded to the app, or you can add custom images through the app. It's all in Chinese (I assume), but its intuitive enough that you can figure out the basics.Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised and happy with the performance of this device, I'm going to purchase a second one for my back wheel so I can have two American flags blazing during my daily commute to work.This is not the Halowheel - I'd previously purchased a set of those, and much to my chagrin, they were garbage.

The lights are bright and visible from a distance, the pictures and animations downloaded from the app are clear. There could be more variety to them. However when I tried to put my own image on the wheel from my phone, the colors were off. I am guessing there is a specific format needed for best results but I could not find that information in the manual.The real problem is one of durability. On smooth roads they will probably be fine, however for any kind of off roading or even going up and down curbs, they will eventually break internally. For the cost of this product, I expected a better lifetime. A friend with some electronics skill opened it up, and one of the rechargeable batteries inside had broken free and lost connection to the others. He was able to resolder it and hot glue it back in place, for a time, but it broke again soon after. We are now looking into some way to more securely mount/pad the internals, something that should have been done by the manufacturer in the first place.As it is, I cannot recommend this product at its current price for the lifespan I got out of it. It is fun and impressive for a while (having the batman logo or green skull and crossbones in my bike wheel was just plain cool) but it doesnt last.

Purchased both spoke lights from Joieshow and delivery was fast!Though I had problems with my second wheel light, Joieshow shipped me out a replacement that I am waiting on. Never the less,the professionalism, communication, and quick replies have made this purchase well worth it.Now, my review of the light sums it up in one word "Awesome!". I am riding my bike at night, everyone has been stopping me in the street excited, smiling, and wanting to know where I purchased these from. I have been pointing all business sales to Joieshow and wouldn't think otherwise.Setting up the product there were a few tricky spots in it but the manual, video from Xuanwheel made it easy. The spokelights are extremely secure and will not come off during the ride. It probably would be a good idea before riding perform a spot check and make sure not loose.There is no extra weight felt at the wheel and it's transparent to riding - except at night when everyone is stopping you asking questions..;-)The charging of the spokelight takes roughly 3-4 hours and is by usb. One of the big factors I choose these lights for charging through usb and price. I love the fact you can transfer images to the front and back wheel through the app via bluetooth. Depending on the clarity of the image, you can transfer photos of people, text words, gif animations, and it all stands out clear. Viewing the image can be detectable at low speeds so you don't need to have the wheel spinning and incredible speeds to just make out the picture.Despite the one wheel light being defective and the vendor will be shipping a replacement, I am still giving five stars... This product beatsout the others on the market and you don't have to take out a loan AKA: MonkeyLights Pro which is ridiculous price for programming.That is my .2 and advice on this review!!*** UPDATE: Received the new replacement spoke lights and works perfectly fine. INCREDIBLE !!!! These are amazing ! Easy to install and use. its simple...install,download the app,enable Bluetooth and you're done. ive attached some pics. One of which is an actual picture of me. I uploaded it to my app,and it came out great ! A little dark,but still great.I recomend getting the 2 bar kit....This way you dont need to go fast for the image to be clear. :)Slow roll ,Here I come .

It still not working even it said connected.Eveytime I tried to drag picture to the wheel and the text said signal lost.Doesn’t how many days I been try but useless.I paid$130 for both wheel,but all I can get is the word Hi.this is my third set of XuanWheel light,but this ones made me disappointed about it.Bye bye XuanWheel I will not purchase any item from your company again
