OPTION TRADERS HEDGE FUND

Absolute gem. Best practical book on option trading.
I probably received a photocopy of the original. But since it cost me a little ocer Rs. 1000 only (which is 1/4th of the hardcover version) , I am still satisfied. What matters is the content which i have gone through more than 10 times already (I have a kindle version of the same book too! ).It is an absolute gem of a book for an option trader, who has already been into the game for quite some time and is looking to sharpen the edges and fine tune into a proffesional.Every time I go through one of the pages, I find something new and important being reinforced. The authors are extremely clear in their concepts and must have definitely mentored many in practical life. This book belongs to an absolute rare category. All other books on future and options, are either basic entry level or textbooks on option greeks and volatility. This book related to the trader practically trading options and guides the trader about most desired setups and how to achieve success. Absolute 5 star.

Written in a very simple language despite complex concepts
Great book but understanding of option basics and intro to Greeks / volatility is a must before reading. The book explains all the basic steps involved in business of option trading.

Must read for proficient option traders.
A good book for some one who is more than proficient in options trading, know how greek options and IV work thoroughly. If one is a novice or even an intermediate, I would not recommend it, else for those who are proficient this book is a must read. The book focuses on more on trading like an Insurance firm - managing its risk and earning decent returns.

Great book
A hands on book for option traders. The basics of options trading is not covered. I suggest readers to read the characteristics of options before reading this book.

I recommend this book to all beginners in option trading
Out of 10+ books on options I have read, this was really one of the best. The author is a practitioner and has plenty of insights so that reader can easily feel his style but also decide on one's own.

Inconsistent
Some valuable advice here and there but mostly inconsistent: the book content violently swings from trivial (e.g., get yourself a quiet room where to work) to impenetrable if you haven't read basic and intermediate books about options trading.Incomprehensible where it matters unless you have read and fully understood "Option Volatility & Pricing" by Natenberg.Regardless, the content is not particularly well written, and it's pretty dated in some aspects, with scenarios over ten years old. The foundations of options trading have not changed, but the breath of trading strategies has.---How I review books5 stars - an exceptional book that expands my reasoning, not just my knowledge4 stars - a great book that significantly expands my knowledge3 stars - a book with some interesting information and some major flaws that didn't really make an impact in my life.(Notice that there's a time in life for certain books. It's possible that this was not the time for this book, and the review rating would change ten years from now)2 stars - a book that gave me nothing and took my time.1 star - a book so poorly written that I couldn't even finish reading.

A disappointment. Wasted time
The first part of the book is about a supposed one man insurance company. It is super easy to read and contains some simple, non-revolutionary, ideas to trade options as a business. The second part of the book contains tips for some trading strategies (iron condors, butterflies etc). It is for advanced option traders only. If you are not, it's almost incomprehensible and useless. The third part is a disparate collection of articles from a blog: some of them are useful, the majority is not
