I bought this back in 2020. After around 6 years I can say that these have been the best clippers I've ever owned. Battery lasts forever and you get an led screen to let you know of the charge. Blade still cuts well after all these years. Cuts my hair fast, and with ease. It also feels sturdy and well built. Definitely recommend.

I swear I'm not a ringer or work for this company. I have cut my own hair for 30 years with a trimmer like this. I have tried many of the consumer grade trimmer, Wahl, Conair and others, mostly plug in over the year. This is easily the best trimmer I have ever had be it corded or cordless. First is the heft. It just feels much more sturdy than the typical plastic trimmers. It feels professional and cuts very well. In fact it performs and feels better than every single trimmer I have ever had by a lot. I have a Panasonic and this is much better by ever measure. Second is battery life. I cut my hair once a month. I have had this for three years AND I HAVE NOT HAD TO CHARGE IT! This is nuts to me. I would perfectly happy charing between haircuts but it uses at most 5% battery for a 20 minute haircut. Performance does not change as the battery drains. Lastly is performance. It just cuts well. Many of my previous would clog or struggle with thick hair. This just cuts. It just performs perfectly. The only criticism is that is does not come with side taper combs (spacers). Of course I have boxes of them from old trimmers and they fit fine. So no issue. But it would be good if it came with side taper combs. It is unusual for a product to exceed expectation so dramatically but I would pay 4x or be willing to replace it each year as I had to do with normal consumer trimmers. Not only do I not need to replace it annually. I don't need to charge it!

I have yet to cut hair with these clippers, but so far, here's what I can say: I got the silver version because I thought the gold version was too "bling" for me. I figured that would be the only difference between the two. But, annoyingly, there are two differences: the silver version is smooth on the side your fingers will be against when using it, whereas the gold version has knurling on that side, which would help with grip. Also, both clippers include 6 guide combs, but the gold version has the four longer ones with metal clips whereas with the silver one all 6 guide combs are all-plastic. The metal clips means they will be more securely attached and less likely to come off during a hair cut. These differences weren't clear from the product pages. I'm regretting I didn't get the gold version now since the price was the same. In my opinion, the gold version should be $10 more than the silver version. Now for the specifics on the silver version I received: it came fully charged, and not only is there a USB charging cable, but there's also the USB wall plug to plug it in to, which I wasn't sure was included. The clippers feel very nice in the hand and they are heavy, solid and well-balanced, with an all-metal case. It runs smoothly and pretty quietly. I don't know about the battery life yet, but others have said it is excellent (at 4+ hours of use). There are some non-polished areas on the surface of the case, which is disappointing, but I guess is not surprising at a $55 price point. Perhaps I can buff these out somehow. Finally, there's now a $3 coupon available at purchase time, which I either missed when I ordered it a few days ago or is new. I'm going to try to get Amazon to give it to me anyway. Note that there other brands selling what appears to be almost exactly the same clipper, just with a different name plate and price, some cheaper and some more expensive. I think the Surker brand has been around longer and might have a better reputation, and it certainly has the most reviews, so I thought it was the safer buy. All these are made in China of course. I'll update my review after I attempt to cut my own hair for the first time ever :-)

I bought this trimmer during Covid and have continued to use it since (for the past 5 years). The unit holds a good charge which lasts multiple sessions and the blades cut well. I use a 1/8” comb attachment which requires 3-4 passes to leave a perfectly clean cut. I feel this is a good value given the durability and battery life. It’s a Chinese no-name brand, but it’s easily as good as a name brand trimmer at a lower price. I would buy again when the one I have dies. I did buy a second unit for my parents. The only con is recharging uses a special cable that comes with it. Don’t lose it.

four years old and still going strong... with five men/boys in the house, this gets used OFTEN!

4 years and roughly 7 months this thing ran UNBELIEVABLY well. Like new. I didn’t oil it once for over 4.5 years and it cut AMAZINGLY well. Better than I kinda thought clippers could even do. I could brush my dogs hair out, sticking out in the air and cut the hair perfectly without pushing the hair over at all, if that makes sense! The battery lasts forever, it has so many attachments. Absolutely love love love it!! It has made grooming my border collie SO much easier. At 4 years and 11 months, I am back to buy another only because we just moved and are staying between families houses and I haven’t been able to get the clipper oil application right to get back to that incredibly perfect cut that it has had all this time and my dog desperately needs a trim for the heat here that he’s not used to. I’m still going to keep the first one and work with the oil to see if I can get it back to its prime! Thank you surker for SUCCH a good product at such a good price!! Received in new box wrapped in "Made in China" opaque plastic wrap. So glad I didn't get a return like a couple other reviews were saying. All accessories are there except for the "universal voltage charger" (as the manual puts it) but instead a USB cord just as all other reviews have mentioned, however luckily I do have several 5V 2A adapters around (clippers are labelled for 5V at 1000mA (1A) charger). Battery came fully charged. I plugged it in to charge for a couple hours anyway just in case. Weekend later I was able to barter my mom for a buzz cut in exchange for flower bed work and the hair clippers worked great on my very thick hair (I hate having long hair because of how difficult it is to wash it out in the shower). I did take care to oil the clippers just before use, I however did use a known good sewing machine oil as it's a light machine oil and not the provided oil (just in case kind of thing). So overall worked great for both clipping and trimming, no jamming or trimming guards falling off. Afterwards the clippers registered 96% battery remaining which sounds about right. Cleaning took a while as I tried using the provided brush (not really good) but after several minutes decided it was easier to disassemble the blades and clean with damp paper towels which provided much better and very clean result. Putting the blades back on was quite a bit difficult as you have to take off the blade lever assembly completely, then insert the top blade with its housing spring and bracket then push the bottom bottom blade on top of it and hold it with a thumb (same hand holding the clipper body) while with other hand slide the blade lever metal bracket back into its groove then install lever with screw, and then last install back the two screws for the bottom blade but don't tighten yet until the bottom blame is properly aligned with top blade. So getting that figured out took most of the time. Afterwards of course reapplied oil and then put it all away back into the box. ;-) On note for cleaning the top blade, the one that moves side-to-side when clippers powered on, there is a black plastic bracket that is attached to it that mates with the motor (basically one part of a piston assembly). No need to take it off of the blade and don't clean off the white grease on the plastic piece as that is suppose to be on there and important to have. I did eventually get around to taking apart of the clippers to see how easy it would be to repair and it looks really good inside components wise. Everything held together with screws and not glue. Battery importantly appears to be a 20700 type lithium ion battery which makes it easy to replace when it eventually dies (for those familiar with using a soldering iron). Based on the construction I'm surprised they didn't try making it water resistant using rubber gaskets around motor and body housing as it looks easy to do. Would be so much better if the blades could be rinsed off instead of the brush or disassemble cleaning methods. So yeah overall happy with it.
