Works great! Recommend!
My 11 month old husky mix just got spayed a few days ago and we have been using this suit to protect her incision site and I couldnât be happier with it. Itâs easy to put on, itâs soft and seems comfy for her, itâs easy to unbutton the bottom and roll it up to go outside for her to go potty and itâs held up to washing as I interchange it with another one and wash as soon as I take it off. As far as sizing, she is 55 pounds and this is a medium plus BUT I actually like how the regular medium we got her in black fits more. Thereâs less gap around her legs near the incision when she lays a certain way. Highly recommend, just measure your dog for size!

An absolute lifesaver! If your dog doesn't chew, look no further!
Firstly, if you're anything like me your first thought is that this is too good to be true. Secondly, I don't normally do reviews so this in itself means I want to get my words out there. My dog is an 11 year old German Shepherd whose never had anything wrong with her and never had a surgery aside from getting fixed needed a surgery. I'll spare you details but she had to have exploratory surgery which means pretty large cuts near her lady bits and tummy. She has 21 staples as well as a drainage tube. The vet gave me one of those plastic cones, which I tried putting on her and while she was still getting over the anesthesia.. . She was horrified and seemed to almost do more harm than good. She was like a cat trying to back up in a corner and tear it off. So I looked only and found a comfy cone, bought that and took off work the next two days so I could watch her. Comfy cone comes in and I tried putting that on her. Yeah, no way. I'm gonna be honest, I'm an absolute sucker when my dog is in pain or uncomfortable so I did what they tell you NOT to do,take it off. If you're anything like me you already feel horrible about taking your dog to the vet. So I looked around and saw this recovery suit. Yeah no way too good to be true. At this point, I said screw it because two cones weren't working and we have two weeks to get through which I sure cannot take off two weeks to watch her. I ordered it, got it quickly within 2 days thanks to Prime. I put it on her which it fit absolutely perfectly. My dog is 85 pounds and I bought a large. I read the reviews and someone said the quality wasn't worth the money and the sizing was off. Not sure where they got that because I don't think the quality is bad at all. It feels exactly like a onesy that you buy a toddler. It has butt snaps too! It completely covers her tummy and lady area so it was perfect. Not too tight on her arms or leg holes either. I've never really put clothes on her so I didn't know what was gonna happen. Nothing.. Nothing happened. That was 4 days ago and she's left her staples alone ever since. I keep it on her while I'm at work, block off the stairs and she doesn't even itch. We have cameras in our house so I keep checking in while at work and you'd never even know she had surgery. I hate to sound like just another pandering review here but it saved her! She's completely comfortable and not in a scary cone. My girl never was a real chewer so I can see why some people didn't like the product if their dog ate it. If your dog is a chewer, maybe not the best idea but that has nothing to do with the product itself. If your dog is a chewer don't put something on them that they can chew! Duh guys! I know for me, this product helps me sleep at night knowing she won't mess with her 21 staples and I can go back to concentrating on work (gottta get the money back for the surgery too of course). I personally would like to thank whoever came up with this idea, it's brilliant and I'd love to buy you a beer. If you're debating on this product and your dog doesn't chew stuff, buy it! You will be so thankful. It's the most comfortable they can be while having to deal with staples or stitches. Just make sure you take it off before you let them out because it covers the dirty business end of the dog. For me, it's a routine when I get home.. "hi mom I didn't mess with my staples but I gotta pee so take this off!" done. Thank you so much for making such a simple yet effective product I'll forever be thankful!!

Really well made! But use caution w/long-haired dogs!
Our puppy was neutered and the vet put a cone on him, but I noticed he was still able to reach his wound (at least it looked like he could). My husband said he had seen âsurgical suitsâ for neutered/spayed dogs and we did a search. We were very pleased with this one. Not only did our puppy look adorable, but it is very well constructed and kept his wound protected. It was easy enough to put on him and the snaps held securely yet werenât hard to undo. When your pup needs to potty, you need to unsnap and roll the underside up âout of the way.â There is a snap on a piece of hanging material to secure it in place underneath the suit around the chest area. We always had to dig around for it a bit, sometimes needing to roll it up a bit farther.Although this provision was made, it was kindof a pain to do (and then re-do) each time our puppy asked to go outside (and he asks to go out frequently).Another downside to wearing a suit is that it would start to smell like pee quickly, so unless you have a spare suit to put on your pup while the other is in the wash, (and that would be pricey imo for something you need for such a short time), youâll need to get that cone back out while you wash & dry the suit.It washed and dried very well. No shrinking or fading. The biggest drawback we discovered ONLY AFTER our dog was healed and we removed the suit, was the mats wearing the bodysuit 24/7 for 2 weeks created. Yikes! Our mini goldendoodle had long fur (wavy) at the time of his neutering and he ended up with very bad mats on his chest, where his hind legs attached to his body (underneath), and armpits (in the front). All those areas needed shaved to get the mats out- they were thick.Chock it up to this being our first doodle, first time using a surgical bodysuit, and/or our own ignorance, but we learned a lesson! So, if you have a long haired dog, use a bodysuit like this with caution.

Great option!
I just had our 7 month old sheltie spayed and knew *the cone of shame* was not going to work for her.I purchased this suit - extra small - based on the size chart and it does fit but...is a little snug because of her floof coming in. It still works really well on her though and I got the next size up as well just in case. That's a tad too long and she could sneak her nose in the leg opening but I just adjust the snaps (two rows of two snaps one each side - so for the extra small suit I only used use the outer snaps, and the small suit I close closer using the two inner snaps - there are two rows of two snaps on his size suit) and make it work. Of course, it will be most secure using all snaps as designed.I didn't need it in this case but there's a pocket for a pad. It is contrasted with blue fabric so I am able to see if there's any blood or leakage. The fabric is thin but nice quality with good stretch providing a snug fit but a little bit of a loose area under the belly so it doesn't rub against any incision. I washed many times and it stretched back to shape right away. For potty breaks, it's simple to unsnap and roll back. It comes with a little tab underneath to roll and snap open but I just pull the the back over the shoulders and the underneath up and snap those together. I find that easier. All in all this suit is a big success - just factor in fur when choosing a size.

Worked well
This worked well for our pup post-op as she had abdominal surgery and it's hard to keep an eye on them 24/7. This gave us peace of mind that she wouldn't lick the incision. Luckily we ordered the right size using the measurements and it fit her well. The material has some stretch and give as well.

Excellent product
Bought this for my Doberman for after her spay rather than a cone. Itâs awesome and she can actually use the washroom without unsnapping it. We bought two to change out. She is two and around 64 lbs and the M+ fits perfectly.

Good quality pet suit
Second time I have purchased this it's a good quality material and washes/ tumble drys well. Very easy to slip on over pet's head with out any fuss and very comfortable for them. Can be easily rolled up at the back end and reattached for toilet breaks without taking it off completely. We had to widen the neck a bit just by cutting into the neck band and it has not affected its durability at all. Nice design pattern on the fabric too.

Does the job
Did the job. I was slightly worried as my dog is very nervous even when I'm putting his harness on so I didn't have much hope and thought he will rip it off. He was wearing it for two weeks after his surgery with no problem. It really helped with not licking the wound. It fits well, just check the size chart. Easy to put on and easy fastening plus looks really cool đ Quality not bad however I've noticed a little hole on it and color slightly faded after few washes but generally good quality product.I would recommend take it off for a walk as after just rolling it up it came a bit wet after walking on longer grass.
