Easy to assemble and sturdy
When my wife broke her ankle this little scooter was a big help. Easy to assemble and sturdy in operation. I would highly recommend the kneeRover

Would have been lost without this
I would have been lost without this. After an operation on my ankle I was disappointed to be told I could not weight bear at all on it for 8 weeks. I'd never heard of a knee scooter before, but so glad I found and bought this. It allowed me to get out and about and get around my house without breaking my non weight-bearing instructions. It was easy to put together too.

Excellent
Got if for my ankle surgery, made life so much easier. Can kneel on, sit and use it as a rest option. The hybrid works well indoors, it’s slim enough for moving around the flat and sturdy enough for using outdoors on different terrains. So much fun, we can go for walks and I can make some distance without much stress for the rest of the body. Easy foldable to transport in the car, great to go shopping in the supermarket and to keep me independent as much as possible. Glad I’ve got it, great quality and worth the money.

I am scheduled for an ankle fusion in about a month. I will be non weight bearing on my right ankle for up to three months. I tried the economy model Knee Rover at the physical therapy office. I got my scooter now so I can get accustomed to it and make sure I have everything worked out before my surgery. I was very unsure about which model scooter to order, so I called Knee Rover’s customer service number. The operator took my number and said I would get a call back. I received a call from a very nice man in about an hour and a half. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. He recommended that I get the hybrid model because I have a loose gravel driveway with a slightly steep incline. I also need a scooter that has a single brake on the left side. All of the pictures I saw had the brake mounted on the right. The customer service agent assured me that it would be easy to take the brake lever off and shift it to the left handlebar. He told me that the park brake button would then be on the bottom, but would work fine. I changed it over and it does work fine. I never felt pressured to buy a more expensive scooter. The scooter was very easy to assemble. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and followed the directions. Now for the scooter itself. The tie rod turning mechanism is very stable. It is definitely worth the extra money. The economy scooter turned the whole front axle. That worked ok, but felt a little tippy when it was turned all the way. The big tires on the front handle our gravel driveway very well. I have wood floors with low pile area rugs in the house, and the scooter handles the transitions without any hesitation. I don’t even notice the change. Thresholds are also no problem. The only slight problem I have had is going over an extension cord that is in a safety channel. That is a pretty big bump and it slides a little on the floor. The back wheels hang up on it sometimes. I am going to reroute the cord over the top to get it out of the way. The turning radius is pretty wide. I asked the customer service agent about the turning radius and he said it is that way on purpose to preserve the stability of the scooter. When I am in a tight corner, I just stand on my good leg and lift the front a little to swing it over. That works very well. The brakes work very well. The parking brake holds the scooter in a stable position. I had no problems with it moving at all as I leaned on it from several different angles while making a tuna salad. The basket is very handy, but it is kind of small. A little bigger from front to back would be more useful. The knee cushion is quite firm. I haven’t decided if I will add extra padding. Overall, I am very pleased with my scooter. It is definitely better than crutches or a walker. The only thing it won’t handle is stairs. I will update my review after I have had my surgery.

Great product. The basket comes in handy when you can't walk. Throw your drink in a sealed cup/bottle or whatever else you need and pop it in the basket, and wheel off.

This was without a doubt the best purchase of my life! I broke several bones in my foot and have to be completely off of it for 8 weeks. The first week or two I just had crutches and it seriously limited my mobility and lifestyle. This scooter completely changed my life. I was able to use it to walk multiple blocks to the pharmacy, grocery store, public transport, etc. which I could not do on crutches (I could only go about 2 blocks on crutches). It’s also great with the basket to be able to carry things (food, drinks, bags, packages, laundry, etc.), I couldn’t carry anything on the crutches. I even took it with me on a work trip to Egypt where I had to facilitate a training and it was amazing to be able to use it to stand up and put weight on both legs and get around the big training venue. It was easy to get on the airplane since it collapses. I don’t know what i would’ve done without this, I highly recommend it! Don’t think about it, just buy it!
