Not very interesting as it tends to bit a bit longwinded 🥴

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant book for the price too ( I’d have paid more than I paid for it ). I loved learning about the SAS and have read quite a few books and got audiobooks about them too. Each chapter is a mission that happened and it goes into very great detail. Mr Ryan should be proud of this book as it would be welcome in anyones Army Shelf in their bookcase !

Great Stories!!!!!
Truly Amazing book written by Chris Ryan, "The One that Got Away" author, He has truly been there and done that, so its a great Christmas gift for anyone in your family or friends who enjoys a historical read about the SAS troopers.

Written from the perspective of the soldiers.
Not a definitive history of the SAS but then it is not meant to be. The thesis is to show the SAS from the perspective of the soldiers that served in the regiment. The most interesting aspect of the book is its discussions of SAS operations since the Gulf War. As many will know there were quite a few books published after the Gulf War and the MOD clamped down on former and serving members discussing SAS operations. So it was of interest to see some discussion of recent SAS operations.

Excellent book
Colin "Chris Ryan" Armstrong is a brilliant communicator of in the trenches military lore. The operational history of the SAS is fascinating, the excellence of Mirbat and Malaya are stories of the ages. Great book, good fun.
