What a great clock! For having smaller overall dimensions, it’s very bright and easy to read- I can read the face from across the room. I like the way it spells out the month, day, and date and spells out the day of the week as well. A lot of information constantly displayed in a clear bright manner. Definitely would buy again.

We recently bought this clock for a dear friend now in rehab, where she will be for several weeks. She loved it. The bare rehab wall that she sees from her bed 24/7 now has a great clock featuring the day, date, time and even the time of day (morning, afternoon or evening), with a meaningful icon depicting the latter (rising sun for morning and so on ). We had thought about getting her a large wall calendar, as she is 80 years old recovering from a broken foot and understandably finds it hard to remember what day or date it is at times, but how does a stationary calendar really help a person in such cases? One can stare at a calendar and still not know what date or day it is, much less the time. A readable, real-time clock displaying the date, day and even time of day (and one that even "remembers" all info should the clock need to be moved and plugged in elsewhere) is far more useful. The price on this clock -- with tax about $32.00 -- was very reasonable. It has various other features (the ability to set alarms for taking medications, e.g.), but the clock display alone is invaluable. There is no battery; it operates totally on AC. Once plugged in, one goes to the menu and sets various parameters (language, e.g.). It has several display options, but two of them are really nice: 1) Black letters against a white backdrop with time-of-day icon; and 2) White letters against a black backdrop with time-of-day icon. These two are especially high-contrast, info-packed and easy-to-read from a distance. (Black letters on a white backdrop offered a cheerier display, in our opinion, but we all agreed that white letters on the black backdrop provided greater contrast and readability, so we set the clock at this display, which is the one in the advertisement.) Can set it on a table via a pullout, wedge-type stand (easel back) on the back of the clock. Else, one can hang the clock on the wall. Very happy with this purchase on behalf of our friend. Would highly recommend it, especially to seniors.

My mom has difficulty recalling what month/day of week/time of day (morning, afternoon, evening, night) due to advancing dementia. She also has advanced AMD, so her vision is limited and has difficulty reading black on white. I purchased this clock as it had the features I needed to make my mom's life a bit easier. The clock (see pictures) I programmed to be in a multi-color format (day blue, month/day/year in a red/orange and, although the time is in black/white, the font is large enough for her to discern the time. I think the color banners I just mentioned above/below help too. The clock is very easy to set up, the menu buttons are on the back (see pic). I like that it has a daylight savings time setting, so it automatically changes (it can be disabled). The clock has an alarm feature, but this is too advanced for my mom, so I have not used it, but it seems straightforward enough for someone who can. It also has a slot for an SD card so it can function as a digital photo frame. I've not used this feature. All functions and features are clearly explained/outlined in the guide included with the clock. The clock has helped and I like the clock so much that I purchased two more (total of three) and have one in the kitchen, living room and her bedroom. The photos in my review are in sequence - the box before opening all the way through the clock on the top of her microwave. It has a peg stand (see pic) and while it does the job, I've noticed that when she struggles with the microwave door, she has a tendency to knock it over, so I had to move it. Under normal conditions - setting on a shelf, etc. the stand is no issue. I'd recommend the clock for any person who has vision or other challenges with day/date/time of day. As an aside, it also has a small weather indicator to the right of the time, but it is too small for my mom to see. Two enhancements I'd like 1) the ability to make the weather indicator larger and 2) a more robust stand. The clock including the frame measures (metric conversions are appx.) 7.75 inches (19.7cm) (H) x 5.5 inches (14cm) (L), the screens diagonal measurement is 6.5 inches (16.5cm), and the screen itself measures 5.75 (14.6cm) (H) x 3.25 (8.25cm) (L). Where H=height and L=length. I hope this review helps - and if you are a caregiver, please remember to take time to recharge by taking some time for yourself.

I bought this for my elderly parents. It has been a lifesaver. It helps them keep up with their medicine and appointments. It is large enough for them to read yet small enough not to be in the way. We just set it on a table in their den and it is perfect. They asked me to buy one for their bedroom because they love it so much.

I ordered this clock to replace one I gave my father-in-law 5 years ago back in 2020 from a different seller that the screen just went black, no power at all even after switching out the power adapter from my same style clock. I was surprised at the current prices and just happened to stumble across this listing that had a number of "returned/used" ones at almost $10.00 cheaper than "new". Listed as VERY GOOD and having great past experiences buying used from Amazon before, I ordered this one. When it arrived it was impossible to tell it from NEW (except for the USED FROM AMAZON sticker on the box so not a item to give as a gift I guess). Even the screen's protective plastic film protector was never taken off the clock screen. The clock appeared so PERFECT that I ordered another one later that same day to replace mine (also purchased 2020) as my screen is beginning to dim. . That one just arrived and also looks PERFECT. I checked out the listing again today (I thought my sister might want one) and I was surprised they list an "ACCEPTABLE" condition used one at the same price I paid for each of my 2 "VERY GOOD" condition clocks. The current VERY GOOD and LIKE NEW used clocks were now just $2.00 cheaper than NEW, not worth the risk to me. EVEN STRANGER, if you click on "Other Sellers" for the New and Used prices, WHAT APPEARS as the same item FROM THE SAME SELLER has USED models anywhere from $8.00 to $16.00 HIGHER than a NEW clock. APPEARS to be a listing error (probably pricing for larger size clocks) but when I clicked on the higher priced USED option, put it in my cart, the same small size showed up at the $16.00 higher price. REALLY STRANGE. Luckily Amazon has the same fantastic return policy on MOST USED items also, just in case.....

We like it, Easy to set up, nice large letters and numbers are very easy to see.

This is an excellent clock, particularly for retirees, seniors, or anyone caring for an older loved one. No more wondering what day or date it is. Or even whether it’s morning or evening. That might sound surprising, but for seniors with irregular sleep patterns, it’s not uncommon to wake up unsure if it’s the start of the day or the middle of the night. This clock helps clear up that confusion. Even outside of those situations, the display is clear, informative, and genuinely useful for people of any age. Be sure to check the dimensions before purchasing. It’s sized well for visibility without being oversized, but it may not fit comfortably on a smaller nightstand. One thing to note: it operates on electricity and does not include a battery backup. It is self-adjusting for daylight saving time, if you choose that option in the settings. I’ve purchased several of these for family members and have one myself. They’ve been a hit with everyone.

Excellent, but pricy

This is a great product for seniors and dementia care, we have given away lots as gifts for various levels of need and has always been well received and lots of praise. High contrast, easy to read and simple layout. Highly recommended.

Was a gift for hubby and he loved it. Bright and easy to read. Great purchase.

Worked fine for 3 months. Then the flickering of screen started. The cashback inducement for 5 star rating itself shows the manufacturer is also not confident about the quality of the product.
